Country overview sheet
One simple report (2 pages) providing an overview of antimicrobial
consumption in one country for different classes of antimicrobials for
different sectors for different years.
One of the most clicked report of the ESAC-Net public interactive database.
At the end of the country sheet: the country comment
It is the only opportunity in all ESAC-Net outputs where MS can directly
communicate with the public.
ECDC considers this specific information on national antimicrobial
consumption provided by the MS as absolutely important and is therefore
not controlling it, any comments will be published.

3. Some figures about the country sheet
comments
Number of comments:
2010: 21
2011: 20
2012: 14
2013: 11
Roughly, in 2010 2/3 of the MS provided a comment, whereas
in 2013, only 1/3 provided it.

4. Reasons for that decrease?
• Disinterest:
You find the comments not important any more. It was a request from
the network to have this comment during the ESAC project.
• Technical difficulties for providing the comments:

Complex procedure to provide an “official national statement”:
clearance, approval procedure by national authorities
• Need for clarification of the aim to have this comment
