The document is a student's presentation about an artifact from their era - a mixed media sketchbook containing sketches, printed film posters, and written thoughts. The student chose this sketchbook to represent how media and knowledge from the past can influence modern philosophies. Future archaeologists would be able to examine the variety of media in the sketchbook to learn about the student's time, including topics like equality, politics, and nostalgia for the past. The sketchbook encapsulates history, media, culture, and data, making it a fitting artifact to represent the student and the year 2019.

2. INTRODUCTION TO THE SELECTED OBJECT
MIXED MEDIA SKETCHBOOK WITH WRITTEN
RANDOM THOUGHTS & MODERN PHILOSOPHIES
What exactly is it?
As an artist, I love to collect my thoughts and
create some scrapbook with some sketches.
Sometimes I found the old film posters to be
quite charming, so I print it out and glue it on
sketchbook. And I sometimes wrote something
related to what visually in front of me, and this
shows the advancement of media and the way I
think.
Because my sketchbook is full of media and
written words, so I choose to submit the
assignment in PowerPoint presentation – to give
you a tangible description of my "chosen”
artifact.
3. ASSIGNMENT CONTENT:
A FULL PARAGRAPH OF DESCRIPTION AND LOGICAL SUPPORTING DETAILS
The chosen object considered to be the artifact that contains the value of 4 minor artifact types of
which are Historical and Cultural, Media, Knowledge, and Data1. Once found by the future
archeologists, the object needs to be examined, and they will find many types of media that I put
together from printed images from the computer, photographs, magazine paper, newspaper, and
my sketch. And they can see that people in our time (especially myself) are eager to find the more
idealistic world and get lots of information by searching online. So they could learn that there are so
many things happening regarding sexual equalities, race, and political ideas. Even though it might
not be apparent for the archeologist the detail that can identify my age, but they can use the
"future" technology that resemblance to C-14 radiocarbon dating to find out the item was from the
21st century or accurately defined that it was from the year 2019. The way sketchbook can represent
everything from history, media, culture, and data made it became such a right candidate for
artifacts that could represent me and who I am now in the year 2019. The artist who inspired by
writing, adore the surrealism artist like Dali, yet love the old movies and music. Because since 2015,
the society obsessed with everything nostalgic and obsolete, we can see that through the series like
Stranger Things. So this sketchbook that may look vague as in the era it represents, but it the best
item to represent our era diversity, the longing of nostalgia, and of course, "me."
