Five years ago, leaders of congregations and organizations who had been organizing in their local communities for many years began to lay the foundation for an effort with statewide capacity and reach. In 2012, “Together Louisiana” was born. The mission of Together Louisiana is: • To bring together religious congregations and civic organizations from across the state that want to act for justice and pursue the common good. • To build trust across the lines that too often have divided our state -- the lines of race, economic status, religion, political affiliation and geography. • To take action on concrete issues that improve the quality of life for our families and communiti
