Lubrication Fundamentals
2013 STLE Annual Meeting, May 5-9, 2013, Detroit, MI, USA
Lubrication Fundamentals technical committee is soliciting papers for presentation and/or Posters
for the 2013 STLE Annual Meeting and Exhibition, May 5 – 9, 2013 at Detroit, MI (USA).
2012 was an extremely successful year with 27 presentations from leaders in Industry, National
Laboratory and University. In addition a significant fraction of the presentations and attendees
came from researchers overseas (Great Britain, China, Japan, Austria, France, Czech Republic, India
among others) making it a truly international meeting. The following focus areas of lubrication are
highlighted along with a general session that will include presentations that do not fit into any of
the listed categories:

We would like to highlight that this year we have Special Session on Ionic Liquids for
Lubrication (under Emerging Technologies Section: Lubrication Fundamentals).
Emerging Technologies Section: Ionic Liquids for Lubrication
Boundary lubrication
Nanolubrication
Texturing and lubrication
Elastohydrodynamic lubrication
Lubrication of MEMS structures
Role of additives in tribology and lubrication
Solid state lubrication
General Session on lubrication fundamentals
Nanotribology
Contact mechanics

Papers can be based on experimental, theoretical and/or case studies. The first step is logging on to
