Lubrication Fundamentals technical committee is soliciting papers for presentation and/or Posters
for the 2013 STLE Annual Meeting and Exhibition, May 5 – 9, 2013 at Detroit, MI (USA).
2012 was an extremely successful year with 27 presentations from leaders in Industry, National
Laboratory and University. In addition a significant fraction of the presentations and attendees
came from researchers overseas (Great Britain, China, Japan, Austria, France, Czech Republic, India
among others) making it a truly international meeting. The following focus areas of lubrication are
highlighted along with a general session that will include presentations that do not fit into any of
the listed categories:
We would like to highlight that this year we have Special Session on Ionic Liquids for
Lubrication (under Emerging Technologies Section: Lubrication Fundamentals).

Deadline: October 1st 2012 – Submission of Presentation Abstract.
You are strongly encouraged to submit a 2-3 page extended abstract for inclusion on the Annual
Meeting Proceedings CD. The deadline for submission of the extended abstract is March 15th 2013.
You do not need to prepare a full manuscript to be included on the Annual Meeting program.
However, you are invited and encouraged to submit a manuscript for review and possible
publication in STLE's peer-reviewed journal, Tribology Transactions.
