Session Wrap Up
• Governor supported $70 Million
• House Democrats proposed $70 million for the Border to
Border Broadband Grant program for the 2020-2021 biennium
• Senate Republicans proposed $30 million in one-time funding.
• Coaltion members had a number of opportunities to testify
using our many voices.
• Special Session SF1, the Agriculture, Housing and Broadband
Budget bill passed the Senate $40 million over 2020-2021
biennium.

program: - $5M Cap, Challenge process, 1:1 match

• Follow their policy discussion
• Encourage a Coaltion member to sit on the Taskforce
• Advocating for Federal Programs
• Conservation Strategies downsizing
• Continue with AMC contract
• Fundraising 2020 – new partnership opportunities

for the 2020 Session
• We look forward to working with many individuals
and organizations to continue our efforts to leave
no residents of MN on the wrong side of the digital
divide
