As the largest membership organization
dedicated to Certified Financial Planners
(CFPs), FPA includes members dedicated to
supporting the financial planning industry.

3.  Established in 2000, FPA keeps its headquarters in
Denver, Colorado, and boasts almost 100 separate
chapters around the country.
Because the FPA of Illinois possesses the largest
membership, it comprises five separate councils,
including South Suburban, Northwest, Chicago Loop,
North Shore, and Oak Brook. Each year, the
organization hosts events and gatherings for
members to network and share ideas. On September
1 and 2, 2015, it will host the Conference for
Advanced Planning in Lisle, Illinois. In 2014, the
conference featured speakers, advanced financial
planning continuing education (CE) sessions, and
discussions covering financial planning.
