It is important to study the Diary of Anne Frank because it gives us an example of life during the Holocaust, teenagers can relate and give examples of how life was like in hiding.

In the Diary of Anne Frank, the Holocaust was going on; also WWII was going on, with a lot of commotion and activity around the town. There were noises coming from the basement, planes flying over, and they heard soldiers. They heard a lot of sirens from police cars. The survivors were wearing a Yellow Star of David on their clothes, representing that they are Jewish. During the Holocaust and WWII there are a lot of gun shooting and banging every where, with screaming and crying in the background. The Holocaust is a really depressing time when people get killed and injured from WWII. It is reminding us that the WWII is happening and the Holocaust is happening also.

In the Diary of Anne Frank, teenagers can relate to Anne in a lot of ways during the play. Teenagers tend to flirt with guys, and Anne was flirting with Peter during the play. Anne pushes her mother away from her when she was having a nightmare and she wanted her dad. Teenagers have one person they really want to talk things out with, instead of another person. Generally, the same gender of parent and child don’t get along with each other, there for like the mom and the son get along better then the mom and the daughter. In the play, Anne pushes her mother away because of the nightmare she had, as a teenager parents and children don’t always get along good with one and another. Teenagers have a tendency to talk back to their parents and get in trouble.

In the Diary of Anne Frank, the life in hiding had been very stressful. There were some rules in the attic, you couldn’t wear any shoes, you couldn’t run any water and you really couldn’t talk until after 6pm. If you couldn’t have been talking or ran water, you would have dry throats and you have to keep all of your thoughts inside your head until you are able to talk after 6pm. You could not also go downstairs to get anything like a pencil. You couldn’t go and listen to the radio or answer the telephone. It would make your life very stressful because, you wouldn’t be able to talk to your friends. For Anne, it would be hard for her to write in her Diary or even do her homework.
The Diary of Anne Frank was an wonderful Journal that Anne Frank wrote herself while she was in hiding for 2 years with a bunch of other people. She thought it was really stressful and hard to do. She had a nightmare and she woke up a bunch of people in the attic. Anne was a 14 year old girl with a big attitude.
