Anthony Morrison (born March 29, 1984) is an American professional mixed martial
artist, who formerly competed in the Featherweight division of Bellator MMA. A
professional competitor since 2004, Morrison has also formerly competed for the WEC.

Originally from North Philadelphia, Morrison began boxing at the age of 14 and also
competed in high school wrestling before deciding to compete in MMA professionally.[1]

Mixed martial arts career [edit]
Early career [edit]
Morrison compiled an amateur MMA record of 7-0 before making his professional
MMA debut in 2004. Morrison then went 16-8 as a professional and won the Ring of
Combat Featherweight Championship before being signed by the WEC.
World Extreme Cagefighting [edit]
Morrison made his WEC debut against Mike Brown at WEC 46 on January 10, 2010.
Morrison lost via rear-naked choke submission in the first round.
Morrison next faced Chad Mendes at WEC 48 on April 24, 2010. Morrison lost via
guillotine choke submission in the first round and was subsequently released from the
promotion.
Independent promotions [edit]
After being released from the WEC, Morrison went 1-0 with one no contest before being signed by Bellator MMA.
Bellator MMA [edit]
Morrison made his Bellator debut at Bellator 108 on November 15, 2013 against Kenny Foster. Morrison won via majority decision.
