2. Aim and Objectives for the Day
• Aim: To agree the PRIME Centre Wales social care
research strategy
• Objectives:
• To collaborate across health and social care for future delivery of
services.
• To set priorities for social care research within the primary and
emergency care context.
• To identify facilitators to enable the priorities to be delivered.
• To agree an action plan for future delivery.

3. Consensus process
• Workshop 1
1. Individually write down your three identified key
priorities for research training and support on
coloured paper.
2. Pair with another person and present your ideas to
each other. Then jointly agree on the most important
three ideas out of the six originally presented. Write
these three ideas onto a different coloured piece of
paper.

4. Consensus process
• Workshop 2
1.Regroup with another pair of participants
(who have completed the same process),
present and discuss your collective six ideas.
2.The four of you should then narrow the six
ideas down and agree three ideas. These
should be written down on a different
coloured paper.

5. Consensus process
• Workshop 3
1.Regroup with another four participants (who
have completed the same process), present
and discuss your collective six ideas.
2.The eight of you should then narrow the six
ideas down and agree three ideas. These
should be written down on a different
coloured paper.

6. Consensus process
• Workshop 4
1.Regroup with another eight participants (who
have completed the same process), present
and discuss your collective six ideas.
2.The sixteen of you should then narrow the six
ideas down and agree three ideas. These
should be written down on a different
coloured paper.
3.This process should be repeated until one
group remains.
