Social Impact Award (SIA)
• Mission of SIA is to spread social entrepreneurship in Central and Eastern European
students. It is a European program designed to educate, guide, advise and prepare young
people who want to carry out their own social enterprise. The program begins with seven
training sessions, continues with a social entrepreneurship competition, which will be awarded
the three best ideas and results in the implementation of these three ideas.
• Started in 2009 in Austria and today operates in Austria, Romania, the Czech Republic,
Slovakia, Croatia, Switzerland, Russia and finally to Greece for the first time this year.
For whom?
• Aimed at students and young people who want to bring a change in society, utilizing innovative
and creative methods and developing their own business initiatives.
• The theme ideas are various regarding poverty, health, education, environment, energy,
technology, human rights and much more.

This awarded action was created for helping
people with special need during of their
restitution by interacting actions with the basic
element of music. By using all this interaction, this
program was able to collect clues about its user
and his progress and notifying the doctors or the
family.
13. BLOOD-E
It is known that platforms about health are really important and popular. So…Blood-e is one of
the 3 winners of the SIA Athens 2014, which was chosen by the jury. Blood-e is an innovative
service about blood donation at the hospitals. What it does? Through an app, the hospital which
needs a certain type and amount of blood can inform the suitable, subscribed to the app donor
immediately, who accepts the notification on his mobile phone and donates blood. This idea is
surely unique, useful, practical, arises awareness and promotes volunteering.

14. OWNFUNDING
Ownfunding.com is a web platform that provides the tools for entrepreneurs
to fund and run their own startups and present investors with lucrative business
opportunities. Everyone can be a creator and/or investor, as ownfunding.com
draws its power from the entrepreneurial community. Basically it shows how small
businesses and startups “crowds” are far more effective than the individuals
while offering great opportunities for the whole community. Apart from the
traditional reward based way to raise funds, it also offers equity crowd funding
making the investors feel included in the process and giving the creator the
proper traction and support.

15. ERGOSKOPIO
The “ergoskopio” project is a platform for collaboration and
networking of young inventors. This project aims to bring together
the residents of Athens with the local creators their ideas and
products. It is both a virtual as the idea starts through the online
platform and a physical pop-up space as you could use a kiosk for
being more creative. It works as an incubator for hybrid events, in
which people can present, share, exchange, eat, make, buy, see,
etc.

Nowadays, with more and more people searching for youth elixirs in order to reach
the coveted longevity Feat has come up with a healthy solution, which is no other than
following proper nutrition. ‘F-eat’ (sounds “fit”, from the word “fitness”, but it is
written “Feat” due to “eat”, like saying “eating food”) combines the two opposite
meanings of ‘healthy food’ and ‘fast food’. Actually, it is a new entry with services such
as customized healthy meals, hoping to bring a revolution in the fast food market while
changing peoples’ minds about fast food, which could be very healthy after all. Apart

This idea is about a mobile app that can get in touch people
who want to donate something with the proper organization.
In other words, through this app everybody who wants to give

21. Mama Donkey
It is all about the creation of a farm which produces
milk of donkeys. Despite the fact that this sounds a
little bit wired, it is good to know that milk from
donkeys has so many advantages for our health. For
example,, it has 60% more vitamin C than milk from
cows and it is absolutely acceptable from people who
have problem with lactose. Additionally it provides
from heart diseases.

As its name shows, Able2 has as purpose to help
people with kinetic problems to be able to provide
their lives, despite the difficulties. This is why, this
action according to its mentors, has to be in every
level of our lives as social and economical by
exercising the ability of these people being
successful and accepting challenges.
23. Mikrolimano center for children
This is about an institute for 100 children in need
who are going to accept the help of couples being in
the role of foster parents. The institute would
provide programs like livestock and woodworking, so
that these children will be raised in a exemplary way
of life.
