1. SUMMARY: GREEN ALTERNATIVES FOR BETTER LIVING.

Nature provides green alternatives for human to replace the man-made products that causing
harmful effects to health and environment. Lemon as example is nature’s all purpose stain remover
work well as a cleaning agent for fabric and cooking utensils also as bleaching for returning the colour of
white fabrics. Mixture of lemon and salt, or lemon and baking soda can be use as detergent or
dishwashing liquid for remove stained areas on cutting board, countertops, stainless steels utensils and
copper pots. The smells of garlic are use to replace a chemical which is effective as pesticides and also
prevent fungus and as antibacterial properties. Gardener can use a garlic to deter pests as hide the smell
of the crop it is planted with. Cornstarch works well as a light antiperspirant replaces aluminum-based
complexes, and baking soda as a deodorant. Mixture of baking soda with a salt or water can be use as an
oral hygiene product for brushing teeth and mouthwash with a whitening ability to remove teeth stain.
Citrus fruits contain Vitamin C, ginger and pepper naturally functioning as fats breaker and burner that
help in digestion, circulation and metabolism also help to flush out toxins. Humankind can draw on the
resources of nature to replace chemical products currently used on a daily basis and mitigate against
environmental stress.

I think this task is very difficult at first because I was not using the English language for years
except just a little to read. However, after reading a few articles back I sure can use English again to
make a summary of the article. Although the language used is not accurate in grammar, I can read,
understand and then write in English back after a long time did not apply it in everyday life.
