6. It is a project designing a furniture that can
accomodate activities in Lobby K, Faculty
of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia.
The issues are the lobby’s users who have
problems, such as wi-fi user with laptop,
and the image of this lobby which is less
representative because of the students who
like to sit on the floor while doing their tasks.
This furniture aims to improve the way Lobby
K users sit with simple and efficient design.
Beside that, hopefully it makes the lobby
more representative with the new image

FURNITURE DESIGN FINAL PROJECT
2013 ISSUE
The final design presents a furniture with the
sleek and slim design. It shows a new image
of Lobby K, from rigid and colorless, into
something that brings a new point of interest
from its bright color. Polycarbonate was
choosen as the material because it can be
cleaned easily and represents sleek image.

Kleung Ana Fitriyani
07
Kleung is a lighting product inspired by
Indonesia’s kite. Kite or we called “layang-
layang”, is diverse and has its own
characteristics. Kleung, or eagle, is one of
kite shapes from Sumatera. We create
Kleung as a lighting product that can be
the point of interest inside home.
Kite is one of Indonesia’s richnesses which
has multiple functions. Not only as a kite to
be played by the kids, but also as research
objects, to do fishing, and so on.
Simple things can have much value
through exploration. Just like Kleung,
Indonesia’s future can reach the high
sky if we want to explore the potential.
