Kurt Cobain formed the band Nirvana with Krist Novoselic in 1987 after reconnecting years after first meeting. The band went through several name changes before settling on Nirvana. Cobain struggled with personal issues stemming from his parents' divorce as a child. He married Courtney Love in 1992 and found great success with Nirvana's albums Nevermind and In Utero, but struggled with drug addiction. Cobain was found dead of an apparent suicide in 1994 at his home at the age of 27.
