PROFESSIONAL EXPERIANCE:
Working as Member software testing Engineer in Mindteck(india) Pvt. Ltd, Bangalore from Feb
25th 2013 to till date.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
Technical Skills:
Storage domain knowledge : DAS, NAS, SAN, RAID,WAFL,SVMDR,LRSE
Storage Protocols : NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, FC
Platform : RHEL, Windows
Host : ESXi
Tool : Burt Web, ALM, p4, CTL, Swiftest, DDI
Products : Ontap
Scripting Language : Perl
Project 1: NetApp System Testing (NST) for virtualization with ESXi & Hyper-V
Title : NST Virtualization
Product : Ontap 8.3.2(FS.2) & 8.4.0(LB.0)
Hypervisors : ESXi 5.5, 6.0 & Hyper-V (on Win. Server 2012 R2)
Scripting Language : Perl with NACL support & PowerShell script for creating VMs in ESXi
Role : Testing Read/Write performance & IO latencies in Ontap side
Duration : 8 months(currently also working)
Team size : 5
Project Description:
NST Virtualization is a kind of E2E testing for the virtualization environment. Here we are
verifying the Ontap with real-time virtualization environment like ESXi & Hyper-V.
Initially we started with NFS volumes to ESXi & CIFS volumes to Hyper-V with Ontap 8.3.2. Now
we are covering iSCSI & FC luns with Ontap 8.4.0. Mainly we are testing the Read/Write
performance and IO latencies on the particular datastores while creating more VMs on it. Validating
Filer behavior during the filer side operations like TO/GB, ARL, Vol move, Disk fail scenario for
Raid-tec aggregates etc. We are also covering the customer’s use cases for virtualization
environments. The numbers and behavior what we are observing will be recommended to the
customers. Going further we will be testing with Open-stack environment.
Responsibilities:
• Here undertaken the responsibility to do VM Patch apply on SAN (ISCSI,FC) and NAS(NFS)

environment continuously in order to measure the inline-dedupe and inline-compression
savings loss and Max CPU utilization.
• performed VDI(Virtual desktop infrastructure) Life cycle in different configurations such as 2
node MCC, 4node MCC, 2node setups continuously in order to measure provisioning and
Boot time for VMs and monitoring the storage server status (filer) while VMware operations
are going on.
Project 2: NetApp System Testing (NST) for Non disruptive operations (NDO)
Title : NST NDO
Product : Ontap 8.3.2(FS.2) & 8.4.0(LB.0)
Scripting Language : Perl with NACL support , FCJ framework.
Role : Testing major disruptive and non-disruptive operations on filer wrt customers
Duration : 5 months
Team size : 2
NDO is able to undertake the planned service events and unplanned component failures without
causing system downtime.
Responsibilities:
Here undertaken the responsibility to do ANDU, NDU, Revert, downgrade, Head-swap etc on
different setups.
.
Here did both manual and automation to validate the above features.
Project 3: Write anywhere file layout (WAFL) replica.
Title : WAFL LRSE
Product : Ontap 8.2.0(SN.0), 8.2.1,8.2.1(SN.3) & 8.3.0(FS.0)
Scripting Language : Perl with NACL support
Role : functional Testing of LRSE features.
Duration : 18 months
Team size : 2
LRSE is a part of WAFL i.e write anywhere file layout (Netapp standard file system)
LRSE stands for logical replication and storage efficiency,
it is one of the efficient backup technology to store the data at vault, in order to recover the
data if something disaster happens.
vault or destination can be present on either inter or intra clusters and its write protected.
Responsibilities:
o Here my responsibility is to verify the functionality of various sub features of LRSE
i.e SFR(single file restore), Gran-sync, ACLs, Quotas, and snap-mirror operations by
automating the script using perl and NACL (Netapp centralized libraries) And validating them
on different ONTAP releases and different platforms.
o also written scripts which are used for STRESS testing(longevity testing).
o The automated scripts are used by various other regression teams for
regression testing.
o Verified many SW BURT`s once they are moved to TESTME state.
Project 4:Platform QA.
Title : Platform quality analysis
Product : Ontap 8.2.0 (SN.0)
Platform : Vespa(FAS 2040), Rackus (FAS 2040),
Role : Platform Testing..
Duration : 4 months
Team size : 10
Need to validate the behavior of NetApp storage platforms with respect to NETAPP ONTAP
releases.
There will be different series of platform and different ONTAP releases need to validate the
behavior of platform
Responsibilities:
Validated the IBM branded and NETAPP branded machines and SLDIAG for troubleshooting the
filers,
here there were no automated scripts so, we were validating the platforms by performing
manual testing, and we were reporting those using BUG reporting tool.
Performed basic sanity testing on service processor (SP) and BIOS
