2.  He was an American clergyman, activist, and
leader in the Africa-American Civil Rights
movement.

3.  He lived in Atlanta & attended Booker T.
Washington High School. He skipped the
ninth & twelfth grade. He entered more house
college at the age of 15 without formally
graduating from high school.

4.  Then he married a woman named Coretta
Scott on June 18, 195 on the lawn of her
parent’s house in her home town in
Heiberger, Alabama.

5.  In December 1955, they made Rosa Parks
moved to the back of the bus but she did not
move so they arrested her.
 But the Montgomery bus boycott , urged &
planned the Nixon & it was led by King.

6.  Then at 6:00 p.m. April 4, 1968, he was shot
rang out as king stood on the motel’s
second-floor balcony.
 The bullet entered through his right cheek,
smashing his jaw, then traveled down his
spinal cord before lodging in his shoulder.

7.  After emergency chest surgery, king was
pronounced dead at St. Joseph Hospital at
7:05pm.
 King's autopsy revealed that though only 39
years old, he "had the heart of a 60 year old",
which Branch attributed to the stress of 13
years in the civil rights movement.

8.  King, representing the SCLC, was among the
leaders of the so-called "Big Six" civil rights
organizations who were instrumental in the
organization of the March on Washington for
Jobs and Freedom, which took place on
August 28, 1963.
