The case of Rolando is very common in Chilean classrooms especially in the poorest
schools of our country. The teacher has to pay attention to the boy because of his
explosive personality. Therefore, he or she has to be very careful of the treatment and
words with Rolando. The teacher must be very tender and kind to avoid any violence or
extreme response from the kid. Also, he or she has to explain to Rolando that his parents
has to work and there is time after school, where he will have the chance to be with his
father again. All this process must be accompanied by the parents support. The teacher of
all the subjects must offer Rolando different activities to make him feel entertained and
comfortable in the classroom in order to make him forget the idea of his father working
far away from him. Emotionally, the teacher must to encourage the parents to treat
Rolando with love and support him. If the teacher and the parents work together, Rolando
will calm down his temper and will not be the protagonist of another violent scene in the
school or any place else.
