History

 Nancy trouve au nord-est de la France
 et est la capitale de la Lorraine. Most
 people were attracted to Nancy
 because of its iron ore. Il a été construit
 en 1050 mais brûla en 1218. After
 plenty of wars and being rebuilt, Nancy
 dominated in arts, academics,
 financial, and industrial excellence.
Cityscape

 In Nancy, art and architecture
 are a very big part. There are
 even many different choices of
 architecture and art schools.
 One school is the School of
 Nancy which is especially for art.
Geography

 Nancy a beaucoup de voisins y compris
 les Jarville-la-Malgrange, Laxou,
 Malzéville, Maxéville, Saint-Max,
 Tomblaine, Vandoeuvre-lès-Nancy and
 Villers-lès-Nancy. It is in the northeastern
 parts of Meurthe-et-Moselle. As for the
 weather there, Nancy doesn’t really have
 dry seasons, but their summers are
 usually warm.
Culture
 Nancy happens to be very
 famous for its museums.
 Beaucoup de son art est par

 l’Opéra National de Lorraine. In
 April 2005 the Place Stanislas
 was opened by Jacques Chirac.

 events, student parties make up
 most of the life in the city. The
 radio station most of the people
 there listen to is Magnum radio.
 Most would choose to listen in
 because it keeps them updated on
 Nancy’s many annual celebrations.
Banking

 A major bank in Nancy is HSBC.
 HSBC has many locations all
 around the world.
Society

 Unlike our society (at times), Nancy’s people
  believe in hard work. Many of its people
  either have jobs or are working hard in school
  to get one. The people who are old enough to
  have jobs aren’t usually unemployed for too
  long because of all the opportunities. Luckily
  for them there are plenty of schools so they
  can always have a new subject to learn.
Environment

 Award after award, and yet,
 Nancy still does not let go. In
 2008, Nancy received and
 award for its beauty and
 distinction in a competition
 for cities in bloom.
Economy
 When it comes to the economy,
 Nancy plays a large role. Il est le

 With its 88% possible employment
 rate, Nancy has a high esteem about
 herself when it comes to standards.
 They people of Nancy keep their
 country in the top ranks of France in
 any subject matter.
Transport

 À Nancy, leur principal moyen de transport
  est Gare de Nancy-Ville. Il leur amène
  directement à des villes comme Metz, Lyon,
  Luxembourg, Langres, et Strasbourg. Their
  most commonly used route has been
  nicknamed a “tramway on tyres” and is
  basically a guided busway by means of
  transportation technology similar to that of a
  trolley system.
Foods and Drinks

 One restaurant in Nancy would be Le
 Nouveau Siècle. Le Nouveau Siècle is
 almost always occupied and is a
 rather loud place. Many of those who
 go to visit Nancy often go to this
 restaurant because of the good
 reviews it usually gets.
Education

 In Nancy, there are three major
 universities. Nancy has the fifth-
 largest population of students.
 Besides its major universities,
 Nancy has many other schools
 for art, architecture, therapy,
 and engineering.
Security

 Because of Nancy’s high standards, typical
  training is not acceptable. Because of which,
  Nancy prides itself in its institutions for
  security. They have schools that specialize in
  courses in technology (for home/public
  surveillance), police training, and civic duty
  training (firefighters, construction, etc.).
Health
 As I stated before about Nancy
 always being on top, they go above
 and beyond to be the number one
 health center of northeast France.
 Of course the city may have plenty
 of clinics, but even the University
 Hospital is located in Nancy. This
 hospital is the largest employer in
 its region.
Sports

 The two main sports in Nancy are
 soccer and basketball. Its soccer
 league is the AS Nancy-Lorraine. The
 basketball league is called the SLUC
 Nancy. Nancy’s soccer team won the
 French Cup in 1978 and their
 basketball team won the last Korac
 European Cup in 2002.
Tourist Info
 Les principales attractions de Nancy
 sont l’Arc de Triomphe, Place Stanislas,
 et la “Place de la Carriere.” The Place
 Stanislas is a World Heritage site that
 was named after the king of Polish-
 Lithuanian. The Place de la Carriere
 (which is also a World Heritage site) and
 the Triumphal Arc are both cathedrals
 built around the 18th century.
