This document examines racial inequality in the medical field through a discussion of several sources. It analyzes the infamous Tuskegee Syphilis study where black men were left untreated for syphilis for decades without consent to study the disease. Additional sources discuss the attitudes of African Americans towards medical research due to past abuses and the origins and consequences of medical racism throughout history.
