2. History
● Created in 1982 by Dr. Magee and his wife
● Became inspired when seeing all the
children who needed help and were not able
to receive that help
● Provides surgeries needed to improve cleft
lip and palates and other facial deformities
● Since then has provided over 200,000
surgeries to children in need
3. Mission
● To provide children with a chance and life
that they might not be able to have without
these surgeries
● Providing safe, free, and effective surgeries
to children all over the world
● Create life changing opportunities for the
patients but for the doctors and volunteers
as well
● Positively impact the child and their families
lives forever
4. Ways to Give
● Operation smile receives their donations in a
number of ways
● Some through personal donations and some
through company donations received at
events
5. Mission Trips
● Operation Smile has taken doctors and
volunteers to many places all over the world
● They have been to six of the seven
continents
● Some of the many countries they've been to
include; India, Morocco, Vietnam, Colombia,
Honduras, Mexico, Philippines, Nepal,
Madagascar, China, Russia, Ethiopia, Peru,
Paraguay, Cambodia and many more
