2. DESCRIPTION
The chess boxing or chess boxing is a hybrid sport that combines
chess and boxing. The concept of the sport had been imagined in
1992 by cartoonist Enki Bilal. It was Iepe Rubingh who brought the
concept to practice in the spring of 2003.
3. RULES
An encounter between two opponents consists of 11 rounds in which
alternating boxing and chess, starting with 4 minutes of chess game and
followed by three minutes of boxing. Between each round there is a pause
of a minute.
The ajderez boxing is controlled by the World Chess Boxing
Organization (WCBO, for its acronym in English). The first world
championship was held in Amsterdam in 2003, the champion was Iepe
Rubingh.
