โ As India slowly crawls towards becoming a super-power, a tiny settlement in
Maharashtra still awaits what most of us take for granted - electricity, portable
water, education and access roads. Pimpaldhara is situated in the Yavatmal
district of Maharashtra. What this project aims to provide ?
โ Electricity: Life comes to a literal standstill post sunset. Gas lanterns are the only
source of light.
โ Water: The settlement lacks portable water and has no tap/ borewells.
โ Road: The access road is miserable on the best days and during monsoon, it
belies description.
