Project Overview
With the upcoming general elections in February in view, one of the major problem with
previous elections has been identified to be the low number of registered voters. This
project intends to significantly increase the number of registered voters by developing a
mobile application where registration centers can easily be identified and located whilst
providing real time updates on Permanent Voter Card (PVC) status. It would also be a
means of conveying information directly from the INEC officials/website to App users.
We expect to aid at least 80% of app users to successfully and completely register for the
upcoming elections.
Goal
The goal of the project is to get the public to register for the election and collect their
PVC card via effective communication and follow up using the Electoral App.

interface with the GPS chip on the mobile

Risk Mitigating Action
INEC Rules : INEC may not want to give
individuals , PVCs of other people.
Mitigating Action 1: We do not intend to
collect electorate Cards, will just inform them
and direct them the nearest collection centers
Mitigating Action 2 : With the Help of the
Embassy, we intend to sell our idea to the
Commission
Access to High Profile Companies : Most
companies may not want to be drawn to the
political issues of the country

Embassy, Invitations will be written to these
companies: With our Aims and Goals clearly

any party affiliation, and that , this is just a
social responsibility
Data Security: Understandably, high profile
citizens may have concerns on Data collected

on our systems and on our App

be used. We have a mini office where we work
from.
Voting compellation: You can drag the horse
to the stream , but you cannot force the Horse
to drink:

Sustainability Plan
The Project can easily turn to a non-government organization, which is responsible for
continuous and aggressive emphases on the importance of voting in the country’s election.
Focusing on the youth and why election and democracy goes hand in hand.
The NGO will continue to create symposiums at different universities and secondary schools on
the importance of the electoral process and its affects their future
The NGO will work closely with INEC, by using our App to inform citizens on relevant information
from the commission.
The App will remain a vital communication tool between us and the general public, and it will be
frequently updated to meet the needs of the populace.
