- 1. 3 S's of Life SURVIVAL Typically in your early 20s, you find yourself in the survival phase. This is where a person has to learn to go from surviving to thriving. It's the phase where you need to be open to seeking help. Work ethic is critical. SUCCESS If a person has the right attitude and work ethic, then the second 'S', success, will happen. It’s the part of your career when you are gaining ground, gaining experience, and have your feet under you. SIGNIFIGANCE The third S is significance. Success is when you get yourself across the finish line and significance is when you help other people get across the finish line.
