• Collect different data from patients MR file, CPOE for abstract/poster presentation.

• Liaises with principal investigators and/or trial coordinators and maintains a pharmacy binder which

Clinical Pharmacy Services:
• Participating in multiple disciplinary clinical rounds in paeds ICU, HDU, ward, surgical wards,
NICU, Chest ward, ICUs, HDUs and Obs/gynae ward thereby monitoring the clinical use of drugs,
including medication action, dose, adverse effects, drug interactions, drug stability and compatibility
etc and lab data interpretation in collaboration with other members of the health care team.
• Evaluate the appropriateness and effectiveness of patient’s medication use in order to meet the
overall goal of patient care.
• Prepared and implemented the guideline for parental use of Venofer (Iron Sucrose) infusion.
• Prepared and implemented intervention and drug information logs for the safety and improvement in
patient care.
• Solve patient’s health problems through the rational use of medications on the basis of clinical
experience and literature support.
• Advise the patient the best way to take their medications i.e. Take home medication counseling.
• Assess the patient for any side effects and in collaboration with their primary physician to develop
an effective medication plan.
• Consult with the patient’s primary physician and other health care providers in a team to develop and
implement an effective medication plan that meet the overall goals of patient care.
• Facilitate the health care team’s efforts for the patient education to improve or maintain health, such
as exercise, diet, and any preventive measures.
Inpatient and Outpatient Pharmacy Services:
• Order screening through both computerized unit dose drug distribution system and manual drug
prescription.
• Cash handling.
• Utilize knowledge to ensure the best use of available medicine by reviewing medication orders,
dispensing and consulting fellow health care professionals.
• Supervise and monitor all patient drug therapy in the designated area, for cost effectiveness and
communicates all possible cost saving recommendations to pat’s physician.
• Stop irrational use of pharmaceutical medical and surgical items.
• Provide direct patient care to patients while working with physicians at outpatient clinic.
• Unit dose auto refill batch running/checking of cassettes, timely delivery.
• Monthly floor stock inspection for proper storage of drug.
• Expiry monitoring.
• Inventory management.
• Maintains strict control over distribution and usage of controlled drugs, such as narcotics.
• Supervision of pharmacy technicians and pharmacists.

• Helps maintain pharmaceutical and supplies inventories, storing under proper conditions and
security.
• IV admixture preparations.
• Compounding prescription, bulk compounding, extemporaneous compounding as per hospital
Cardex.
Investigational products Management:
• Provide accurate and efficient dispensing of medicines.
• Proper interpretation of prescriptions and the dispensing of the products in accordance with protocol.
• Prepares sterile products following aseptic techniques.
• Stores drugs as per storage requirement in accordance with protocol.
• Maintains cold chain as well as temperature record of the fridge and freezer.
• Monitors pharmacy activities, on a daily basis, to ensure adherence to study protocols.
• Maintains appropriate logs for procurement, storage, temperature monitoring etc.
• Maintains confidentiality of all information related to research patients, medical staff, sponsors.
• Maintains responsibility for the management of the inventory for clinical investigational drug trials;
orders, replaces and returns study materials, as required.
• Evaluation of drug proposals and the surveillance of marketed drugs for safety.
• Work as a study coordinator in a couple of studies (Goal, Proxima, Remade 2 etc.).
Mentoring and Administrative Responsibilities:
• Maintains professional development.
• Orientates staff to pharmacy's role with respect to clinical investigational drug trials.
• Participates in the orientation and training of new employees and pharmacy trainee / interns, as required.
• Attends and contributes to interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Supervises and provides direction to support staff in order to maintain overall pharmacy operations.
• Communicates any concerns regarding ethical issues or deviation from established Hospital/CTU
policies & procedure to the supervisor
• Prepare departmental policies & procedure, opretional manuals and make sure their implementation.

committee.
