Adolf Hitler was born in Braunau, Austria in 1889 and served as the German president and dictator from 1933 to 1945, creating Nazism and starting World War 2 against other European countries. During his rule over Germany, more than 17 million Jewish, Roma, disabled, and other minority group members were killed in the Holocaust before Hitler committed suicide with his wife Eva Braun in 1945 as World War 2 was ending.
