Seminar Overview
Regulators and enforcement authorities around the world are increasingly
prosecuting corruption and imposing sanctions that can include disgorgement
of profits, fines, disbarment, and prison. As a result, company boards and
management are becoming increasingly aware of the need to assess and
mitigate corruption risk in potential M&A transactions, as well as potential
strategic alliances and similar relationships. This session will address how
using frameworks such as EITI and community stakeholder building can
complement a company’s anti-corruption and bribery policies by creating
cultures of transparency and local community commitment to the project.
