TRAINING & ACADEMIC PROJECT
M.Tech projects
1. Energy efficient wireless sensor networks for industrial control system: The key
challenging issue with the implementation of wireless sensor networks is the limiting energy
constraint of sensor nodes. Aim of this project is to propose a novel approach for an effective
energy efficient data forwarding technique based on the state information monitored by the
sensor nodes. The sensed data is checked against a fuzzy rule database and a forward
decision is made only if any rule in the database is triggered.
2. 2. Energy aware multipath routing in wireless sensor networks (WSN): In this work,
we propose an energy efficient multipath routing algorithm in WSN. This protocol is
designed to improve the latency, resiliency and efficiency through discovering multiple paths
from the source to the destination. It has a sink initiated route discovery process with the
location information of the source known to the sink.
B.Tech projects
1. Development of a multi touch table: Aim of the project was to develop a multi touch
screen table using Frustrated Total Internal Reflection (FTIR) technology. Frustrated light
is scattered downward towards an infrared webcam, capable of picking these ‘blobs’ up,
and relaying them to tracking software present in the computer. The projector connected to
the computer projects the output of the touch on the compliant surface. The multi touch
screen can be used in personal computers, laptops, tabletops, Graphics Tablets etc.
2. Digital security lock: This project aims to design a digital security lock using AT89S51
microcontroller that can be used for numerous applications such as access to an
article/gadget is restricted to a limited number of people. The outcome of the project
resulted into a digital security lock which contains a keypad to enter the code and an LCD
to display instructions on it. It can be used in the door of a car, for security of a room or for
starting a car etc.
Training (June - July 2011): I performed a short one month industrial training in Sterling &
Wilson Ltd on formula one race track project at Jaypee sport city in Greater Noida.
During the training, I visited the construction site and actively participated in electrification
work on the site. I also got the information about activities of Sterling and Wilson and its
achievements. The most important part of the training was to see how engineering is applied
in practice.
