N O T I C E
Sub: Semester registration & starting of classes for UG, PG & Research
Programmes
It is for the information of all concerned that the Semester registration for Spring Semester
2013-14 of all UG, PG & Research programmes has been fixed on 01.01.2014.
FEE PAYMENT AND SEMESTER REGISTRATION WILL BE DELINKED.
Students not registering on the date of registration, will have to pay a late fee of
` 1000 /- within 10 working days without permission. However, permission of Director
will be required for registering beyond 10 working days from the date of registration.
The fees should be paid between 20.12.2013 to 15.01.2014 for spring semester without late fee.
Students who will pay within next two weeks after 15.01.2014 will be charged ` 500 /- as late
fee. Thereafter ` 2000 /- will be charged towards late fee till 45 days counted from the date of
registration after which registration will automatically stand cancelled unless otherwise permitted
by the authority.
CLASSES FOR ALL PROGRAMMES WILL START FROM 02.01.2014.

1. Payment will be made online between 20.12.2013 and 15.01.2014. Students are required to check
whether the status of payment is “success” exclusively before logging out.
2. Students who are minor or availing bank loan may pay through the demand drafts as follows:
a) Registration fee and Mess dues in one draft should be drawn in favour of “Director, NIT,
Rourkela”, payable at Rourkela and to be deposited in the Finance Office of the Institute.
3. Students, who will not get Computer generated receipt due to some technical problem after their
money getting debited from their A/c, are required to attach the printout of transaction of money from
their respective bank site.
4. Subject details including Backlog papers are to be duly verified by the Faculty advisor of
the concerned batch of students with respect to the regulation.
5. Once registered, a student may amend his/ her registration within 10 working days of the
original registration date.
6. A student is required to appear both Mid-sem. and End-sem. examinations for each Backlog paper
registered for the Spring semester 2013-14. In no circumstances, a student will be allowed to write
examination if he/she has not registered for a paper.

registration forms duly verified may be sent to the Academic office on 02.01.2014.
They are further requested to send the list of students having any outstanding department dues
of the previous semester(s) to the Academic Office by 15.12.2013.

Chief Warden of Halls of Residence with a requested to upload the accumulated Hall dues of the
previous semester(s), if any by 15.12.2013.
PIC (BPCL) with a request to upload the Library fines (if any) of the students latest by
