3. IL&FS Transportation Networks Ltd was titled with the 3rd EPC World Awards for the
outstanding contribution in roads and highways. Ashutosh Chandwar, Vice President
of IL&FS Transportation Networks Ltd ((ITNL) received the award on behalf of the
company at 3rd EPC World Awards function held at Hotel The Ashok on December 15
2012 .
The award was presented by an esteemed array of dignitaries involving Shri Harish
Chandra Singh Rawat (Union Cabinet Minister for Water Resources), Shri Balbir Punj
(Member of Parliament in Rajya Sabha), Dr Sudhir Krishna (Secretary to the
Government of India-Ministry of Urban Development) and Shri Amitabh Kant (CEO&
MD-Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor Development Corporation Ltd). The awardees

ITNL is a developer, operator and facilitator of surface transportation infrastructure
projects, taking projects from conceptualization through commissioning to operations
and maintenance; and is also one amongst the largest private sector BOT road
operators in India.

5. The 3rd EPC World Awards crowned the operational expertise of Kalindee Rail Nirman
(Engineers) Ltd for its dedicated contribution towards the construction of railways under
the EPC segment. Kalindee Rail Nirman’s Chairman and Managing Director, RD
Sharma received the award from a distinguished array of dignitaries involving Shri
Harish Chandra Singh Rawat (Union Cabinet Minister for Water Resources), Shri Balbir
Punj (Member of Parliament in Rajya Sabha), Dr Sudhir Krishna (Secretary to the
Government of India-Ministry of Urban Development) and Shri Amitabh Kant (CEO&
MD-Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor Development Corporation Ltd).
Kalindee since its inception in 1976 has dedicated itself to build infrastructure for rail
transport under one roof on turnkey basis. The company has been active in the fields of
signaling, telecommunications, track and information systems.

7. Larsen & Toubro (L&T), India’s leading technology, engineering and
construction company was named the Infrastructure Company of the Year at
the EPC World Awards 2012 held at Hotel the Ashok, New Delhi. The award
was presented by dignitaries Shri Harish Chandra Singh Rawat (Union Cabinet
Minister for Water Resources), Shri Balbir Punj (Member of Parliament in
Rajya Sabha), Dr Sudhir Krishna (Secretary to the Government of India-
Ministry of Urban Development) and Shri Amitabh Kant (CEO& MD-Delhi
Mumbai Industrial Corridor Development Corporation Ltd). N.K. Puri, JGM
and Head – Heavy & Light Factories, L&T received the award on behalf of the
company.
Every year EPC World Awards recognizes and honours the unique

9. Leighton Welspun Contractors Pvt Ltd was crowned with the 3rd EPC World Awards
for its outstanding contribution in the urban infrastructure under the EPC Category.
Representing the company Jim Salmon, Managing Director, of Leighton Welspun
Contractors received the award from a expert array of dignitaries involving Shri
Harish Chandra Singh Rawat (Union Cabinet Minister for Water Resources), Shri

in Urban Infrastructure at the 3rd EPC World Awards function held at
Hotel The Ashok on December 15 2012. Soma Enterprises, one
amongst the country’s fastest growing infra developers was bestowed
for its contribution towards construction and development of key urban
infra projects in the transportation, hydel power and water resource
sectors among its other portfolios.
