American teen movies have a wider audience beyond just teenagers as they often include elements of romance and comedy that older audiences can also enjoy. While teen films specifically target teenagers, their themes of relationships and coming-of-age can resonate more broadly. The target audience for the film "Weirdly Connected" is female teenagers, as it follows the stories of three girls, though it also aims to attract a niche audience by challenging genre conventions through its addition of fantasy and science fiction elements.
The fellow students provided feedback on a rough cut, saying they liked the scene in the granary with lights and the cutaways at the end. They noted some issues with Shardonnay's head being cut off in scenes and lip syncing not being in sync. The teacher commented that the main character's hair appeared curly and straight in different shots, lacking continuity, but enjoyed the tunnel scene of her removing scarf, jacket, and jewelry.
Andrew Goodwin proposes that pop music videos have different narrative structures than traditional narratives. There are three main differences: 1) pop videos are built around song lyrics rather than traditional narratives, 2) the singer acts as both narrator and character, and 3) the fourth wall is usually broken by the singer looking at the camera. Goodwin also identifies three types of relationships between song lyrics and music videos: illustration where the video tells the story of the lyrics, amplification where the video adds new meanings to the lyrics, and disjuncture where there is little connection between lyrics and video or a contradiction. Examples are provided for each type.

Approach to Mobile Design
Patterns
1. Our Production and
Distribution company
Clear name to show
the audience our
fresh new name
production and
distribution company.
This design is
very girlie
which is
specific to our
target
audience
(teenage
girls).
We created the name break free because it sounds like a
new name that has just entered industry and also
connotes freedom and the fact that we used a small
production company that can take more risks with their
films and idea’s shows freedom.
2. Break Free Productions
We used Break Free productions as our production company as well as
our distribution company. We used a smaller independent production
company to produce our teen film. The name ‘Break Free Production’
gives it a fresh and new name and is similar to other small production
company such as Studio Canal. The advantage of using a small
production film is that you can do more risky subject matters where as
in major film company's such as Universal wouldn’t be able too.
Major film company such as Universal has a more wider target
audience and appeals to everyone. It does have its advantages such as
its recognizable and if their film failed it wouldn't’t affect them so
much and it isn’t as much of a big deal. But we stuck to a small
distribution company as it is best suited to our film because it isn’t a
very typical teen film and hasn’t got a wide target audience like other
teen films like Mean Girls because our film genre is Sci- Fi and fantasy.
3. Our film Genre
Our film genre is Fantasy/Sci-Fi which sets it apart from other
teen films which is why we used a small production and
distribution company. This is shown through the symbol that
connected all three girls together is some way which is hinted to
the audience in the opening.
