Letter of recommendation for Zmora Zohar
To whom it may concern,
I have known Zmora Zohar since September 2011, when she was accepted to work at
the Jordan River Village, as Head Nurse of the Mediclub (Medical Center). Her role
included managing the nursing and medical staff during the camps, co-operation with
the other departments of the village and working with the management of the village.
She also gathered information from hundreds of campers each month, in an effort to
realize the vision of the village and to bring sick or disabled children to the amazing
camps on offer in the Jordan River village, giving full medical security to the camper
and his parents, as well as the volunteers and staff.
Zmora was involved in the organization of the medical Centre, and writing the many
protocols necessary in the running of the village.
Throughout her work, Zmora demonstrated diligence and professionalism,
accomplishing tasks and deadlines, and demonstrating knowledge and ability. She
also kept in contact with many external bodies, and dealt with the details of every
camper in a yearly work load that included 40 unique camp cycles. Each camp was
complex and involved a specific group of children with the need to understand the
medical problems, the social limitations, and the needs of the child, and to identify
with each child and parent with the aim of giving maximum response, which Zmora,
together with the rest of the medical staff, indeed assured each child.
This type of planning requires a great deal of responsibility, and Zmora showed
responsibility to the children, the families, and the community doctors.
Zmora proved to be an exceptional friend and workmate, demonstrating full
cooperation and wonderful interpersonal skills with all the staff of her department, as
well as the many other workers and volunteers in the other departments of the village,
and always in a quiet manner, orderly and professional and with a love of her fellow
man.
All this is proved by her achievements and accomplishments in all the tasks that were
set, even without prior warning, whether in the yearly tasks or in the individual
treatment of a sick child needing thinking outside the box.
At the same time as working in the village, Zmora showed remarkable abilities in her
work with international bodies, based on the wide experience that she accumulated in
many disaster areas in the world and in setting up medical projects in Africa.
In view of these abilities and characteristics, I am sure Zmora has the ability to fill
any role, managerial, or practical, in the best and most professional way and to
develop further in any area that she would chose to work, and to succeed in any
further learning or training that would be required.
Yours sincerely,
Dr. Herzl Gabriel
