Topic: Why I Paint?
I stood at the windowand gazed in awe at the beautiful and colorful reflection ofthe rainbow. The
variety of colors was an inspiration and a healing factor for me. You see, the day I sawmy first
rainbow was a day when I was lying in bed suffering from fatigue and fever. No one knewfor
certain howI was capable of getting offthe bed and walking to the window; however, the reflection
of the rainbow created a prism cascading through my window onto the window sill and across my
pillow illuminating the room with colors ofvibrant therapeutic calmness. That my dear friends was
the exodus to my world ofpainting and colors.
The possibility is, every time I paint, each brush stroke is placed with the intention offormatting
my own prism and fascination for colors. Painting brings out the inner joy and peace within me.
Colors inspire me, they mole me into an instrument ofdelight and acceptance; therefore, as
mentioned above it is the vivid therapeutic miracle to my soul.
