Switzerland claims one of the world’s top 10 universities and is
leading a “Renaissance” for universities in Continental Europe
(“The Continent”). Considering the size of the country,
l d d l hSwitzerland managed to place a surprising 7 universities on the
list of Europe’s 200 top universities 2015 (4 are in the top
50). ETH Zurich is the highest-ranked in “The Continent”
Germany is the second most-represented nation in the list of
the top universities in Europe, with 36 institutions, a quarter of
which (9) are in the top 100. The top university in Germany is
LMU Munich (Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich).
