magical ratio of 1.61 ( the golden
ratio). The height of the Modulor
Man, according to Corbusier, was
1.61 times the length of the height

• IT IS SQUARE IN PLAN WITH A MONUMENTAL PORTICO FACING THE MAIN
PLAZA
• ON THE LATERAL FACADES BOTH THE PORTICO AND THE OFFICE BLOCK
WOULD BE DEFINED BY SOLID END WALLS
• THE LARGE CHAMBER IS IN HYPERBOLIC FORM OF THE COOLING TOWER
WITH AN AVERAGE THICKNESS OF 15 CMS
• THE UPPER PORTION OF THE TOWER IS EXTENDING ABOVE THE ROOF
LINE
• AN ASSEMBLY CHAMBER IS 128 FT IN DIAMETER AT ITS BASE AND RISES

• It is a 18 storey building having 337
appartments for 1600 peoples.

• The building is constructed between the
well landscape area support on pilotes.
• The units are offset in a pattern that they
formanig a series of vertical ‘L’ interlocking.
• Single storey or double storey balconies are
given.

17. CHAPEL NOTRE – DAME – DU –HAUT, FRANCE
• It is a modern church design by the Le Corbusier, in
this project he played with the form of the building.
• The Church having two entrences.
• At the west a metallic composition is there which
having 3 bells
• Towards the south end a residential area for the
Clergy whose roof is fully Landscape.
• At the North a pyramid is situated which is a symbol
of Peace.
• The entire complex is a master piece of structure.
