This document provides instructions for changing the password and PIN for a Windows 10 account. It outlines the following steps: 1. 2. First Step
Start -> Settings.

3. In the settings
window locate
“Accounts” option

4. On the Left Panel you
will see “Sing-in
options” , Select it

5. Now you will find option
to change “password” and
the “PIN “on the right
side. When you will
change the PIN code, you
will have sign in again to
other services where you
are using the same code.

6. Before updating your password
you will be asked for your
current password, even though
you are signed up with when
you opened your PC. This action
is taken to confirm that nobody
expect you modifying your
account.

7. Now create your new password and
provide a password hint. The hint is
very useful when someone forgets the
password. After this step windows
account password will be changed.
You may have to sign out of your
account. So make sure that you have
saved your entire open document.

8. PIN Code changing process is very
simple. You will find only one
window for providing the current
code and creating new one. When
you submitted click ok. If you
forget your pin, click the “I forgot
my PIN” and follow the
instruction to reset it.

9. You can set up a picture password and use it
as your primary sign in option. This is a
better security option. This option will be
fond bellow PIN. When you are creating a
picture password you have to draw unique
gestures (straight line, circles) or tap on a
specific part of the picture. You have to draw
the same gesture again in lock screen to sign
in to your account. This picture password is
more secure than 4-digit PIN code.

10. As usual your have
enter your current
password to set the
picture password.

11. Click Choose picture, pick your
favorite picture in the new window,
and then draw the gestures using
your mouse. Make sure that you
remember the combination and the
position of each gesture.
