2. A man was sleeping at night in his cabin when suddenly his room filled with light, and the Lord,told the man he had work for him to do, and showed him a large rock in front of his cabin. Κάποιος κοιμόταν στην καμπίνα του, όταν το δωμάτιο γέμισε με φώς, και ο Κύριος είπε στον άνθρωπο, ότι είχε να κάνει πολύ δουλειά, δειχνοντας του, απο την καμπίνα ένα μεγάλο βράχο.
3. Ο Κύριος του εξήγησε ότι κάθε Μέρα πρέπει να σπρώχνει το βράχο με όλη την δύναμή του. Γιά πολλά χρόνια, δούλεψε σκληρά από την ανατολή μέχρι την δύση.Έστηνε τους ώμους του έναντι στον τεράστιο ,ακίνητο , βράχο και έσπρωχνε με όλη την δύναμή του. The Lord explained that the man was to push against the rock with all his might. So, this the man did, day after day. For many years he toiled from sun up to sun down; his shoulders set squarely against the cold, massive surface of the unmoving rock, pushing with all of his might
4. Each night the man returned to his cabin sore andworn out, feeling that his whole day had been spent in vain. Κάθε βράδυ ο άνθρωπος γύριζε στην καμπίνα του κουρασμένος και αισθανόταν ότι περνούσε όλη την ημέρα του μάταια.
5. Since the man was showing discouragement, the Adversary(Satan) decided to enter the picture by placing thoughts intothe weary mind: “you have been pushing against that rock fora long time, and it hasn’t moved.” Thus, giving the man theimpression that the task was impossible and that he was afailure. These thoughts discouraged and disheartened theman. Satan said, “Why kill yourself over this?” Καθώς ο άνθρωπος αποθαρυνόταν ο σατανάς ( ο μεγαλύτερος εχθρός) άρχιζε να βάζει αμφιβολίες στο κουρασμένο του μυαλό: « Σπρώχνεις τόσο πολύ και για τόσο χρόνο, και δεν μετακίνησες το βράχο.» δίνοντας στον άνθρωπο την εντύπωση ότι ήταν αποτυχία. Ο σατανάς του είπε~ « γιατί σκοτώνεσαι γι΄αυτο;»
6. The Satan said:“”Just put in your time, giving just the minimum effort; and that will be good enough.” Ο σατανάς του είπε: « κάνε τις ώρες σου αλλά βάλε όσο πιό λίγη δύναμη μπορείς και θα είναι αρκετό.»
7. That’s what he planned to do, but decided to make it a matter of prayer and take his troubled thoughts to the Lord. “Lord,” he said, “I have labored long and hard in your service, putting all my strength to do that which you have asked. Yet, after all this I have not even budged that rock by half a millimeter. What is wrong? Why am I failing?” Οπότε αποφάσισε να κάνει έτσι αφού πρώτα προσευχηθεί: « Κύριέ μου δούλεψα σκληρά γιά να Σε υπηρετήσω , όπως μου Ζήτησες αλλά μετά από τόσο χρόνο δεν μετακίνησα τον βράχο ούτε ένα εκατοστό
8. The Lord responded compassionately, “My Servant, when I asked you to serve Me and youaccepted, I told you that your task was to push against the rock with all of your strength, which youhave done. Never once did I mention to you that I expected you to move it. Your task was to push.,And now you come to Me with your strength spent, thinking that you have failed. But, is that reallyso? Look at yourself. Your arms are strong and muscled, your back sinewy and brown, your handsare callused from constant pressure, your legs have become massive and hard. Και ο Κύριος είπε με συμπάθεια, « Δούλε μου, όταν σου ζήτησα να με υπηρετήσεις , σου είπα Να σπρώξεις έναντι του βράχου με όλη την δύναμή σου. Δεν σου ζήτησα ποτέ να μετακινήσεις τον βράχο. Και τώρα έρχεσαι σε μένα κουρασμένος, και νομίζεις ότι Απέτυχες. Αλλά, κόιταξε τον εαυτόν σου. Τα μπράτσα σου είναι δυνατά, οι γάμπες σου επίσης, και τα χέρια σου έχουν κάλους.
9. Through opposition you have grown much, and your abilities now surpass that which you used tohave. Yet you haven’t moved the rock. But your calling was to be obedient and to push and toexercise your faith and trust in My wisdom. This you have done. Now I, my servant, will move therock.” Και εξακολούθησε να λέει ο Κύριος, « Λόγω της αντίστασης έχεις ωριμάσει πολύ, και οι δυνατότητές σου τώρα έχουν ξεπεράσει αυτά που είχες πριν. Εάν και δεν έχεις κουνίσει το βράχο. Αλλά το κάλεσμά σου, ήταν να έχεις υποκοή και να σπρώχνεις και να βασίζεσαι σε Μένα. Και την Σοφία Μου. Αυτό το έκανες. Τώρα Εγώ Θα μετακινήσω τον Βράχο.»
10. When everything seems to go wrong .................................. just P.U.S.H! When the job gets you down ............................................... just P.U.S.H!
