staging spectacular Easter Parades
and the area’s parks and public spaces
continue to host great public events at
Easter time. Battersea Park Zoo will be
running an Easter Egg Trail from
25th­28th March, where the kids can
win prizes for spotting eggs hidden in
the animals’ cages. Alternatively get
your skates on for the Easy Peasy
Skate Easter Egg Hunt which takes
place around the perimeter of
Battersea Park, starting at 10am on
Saturday 26th. Children must be
accompanied and you must register to
take part.

join the NCT childbirth and parenting charity for
a pre­schoolers’ Easter Egg Hunt on Clapham
Common on Wednesday 16th March (10am –
12 noon). Tickets are available at the
bandstand and afterwards mums and dads can
browse the cake sale and Easter craft tables.

You know the holidays have arrived
when George Irvin’s travelling
fairground sets up on Clapham
Common. All your favourite rides
and stalls will be in place from from
25th March to 10th April, with
admission by token or wristband.
Roll up on Bank Holiday weekend
and after all the dizzying fairground
fun you can tuck into a home­made
Sunday roast – accompanied by
Bloody Marys and Mezcals for the
grown­ups and egg­hunts for the kids
at the Belle Vue on Clapham
Common South Side.

7. Otherwise head up to Battersea Rise to sample
one of Cornish Tiger’s award­winning meals –
this restaurant was recently voted by the
Guardian’s Observer Food Awards as one of
the top five places in London for a great
Sunday roast

Bored with chocolate eggs and
want to mix things up this Easter?
You can earn Brownie points for
originality with a box of hand­iced
Belgian chocs (exquisitely
decorated with Easter chicks and
