• 4.86 FTE represents the full complement of staff
required to write a roster taking in account
replacement of leave such as annual and sick.
• To identify how many staff you have on roster to
cover the 4.86 staff is as follows:
• 14 days represents a fortnight and within that
fortnight you will work 10 days. Eg 5 Days Mon
to Fri over 2 weeks = 10 shifts. We are going to
count this ten shifts as increments of ‘1’
