Student Intern May – August 2015
Analyzed US, UN, UK strategic communications and peacekeeping doctrine.
Highlighted the gaps in process between organizations/governments.
Chosen to present findings at the Challenges Forum in Washington, D.C. Attendees included
high-ranking members of NATO, UN, State Department, and Department of Defense.
Co-authored a civilian casualty mitigation blueprint.

Peace & Conflict Resolution Study Abroad Program (England, Northern Ireland, and Jordan)
June – August 2014
England/N. Ireland – studied and discussed the Northern Ireland Conflict with Professor Paul
Arthur.
o Paul Arthur was instrumental in the final Northern Ireland/England peace accord.
o Met with members of British Parliament integral to the resolution of the conflict.
Amman – studied Arab/Israeli Conflict, Israel/Palestine Conflict, and other Middle East issues with
Professor and former Jordanian-Israeli diplomat, Omar Rifai.
o Met with a tribal Sheikh and the current Jordanian-Israeli ambassador on the US role in
neutralizing terrorism.
o Lived in Amman with a host family while learning colloquial Arabic.
2. Exchange Program (Ghana, Africa)
Student June – August 2011
Taught French, English, and math at secondary school in Kasoa, Ghana.
Lived with a host family in Accra and learned colloquial Twi/Fante.
VOLUNTEER/OTHER WORK EXPERIENCE
Leader of Ohio State’s First Year Experience program
o Facilitated freshmen introduction to Ohio State…provided resources to new students,
organized retreats and events, and made their first year at OSU as successful as
possible.
Freshmen Activities Board
o Organized events on campus that addressed problems with racial, gender, and sexual
inequality.
o Organized and led activities to de-stress during exam weeks.
o Community outreach…trash clean up and volunteering at a homeless shelter.
Involved in 2012 Get The Vote Out at The Ohio State University.
Worked as dishwasher, busser, prep chef, host, and server at various restaurants the last 2 years
of high school and all 4 years in college.
Worked for YardMaster landscaping during 2 summer breaks.
