My name is Dr. Vladimir Krupkin. I was born in St. Petersburg in Russia, and I got a classical
laser education in St. Petersburg Institute of precision mechanics and optics. I got my Ph.D. from
Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel. I spend 30 years of my life for research and development of
lasers.
I co-founded ARIEL in 2007 to utilize a unique laser technology into new products that will
define the future battlefield. Since then ARIEL has developed and produced a series of novel laser
systems that protects Israel from terrorists’ land and aerial attacks. ARIEL is engaged with almost
all the Israeli major defense integrators, and our unique laser technology is protected by 2 granted
patents and few patent applications in many states around the world.
Most important project of ARIEL is Laser Kill Anti UAV protection system against
terrorist’s attacks with drones. There is no real solution for this problem in Israel and worldwide.
ARIEL successfully demonstrated protection from quadcopters in outdoor long range tests for
potential customers. The system includes high power military multi kilowatt fiber laser that ARIEL
develops and manufactures for this application. We expect a production order for an Israeli
customer this year.
ARIEL developed a unique powerful laser module CLOUD that really deflects anti-tank
guided missiles. It protects tanks, armored personnel carriers, jeeps, bridges, posts, important
installations and ships. The module was tested in Israel and USA with 100% success.
With a relatively small budget and a talented team, ARIEL has developed and produced 10
other unique laser products for defense. To versatile ARIEL has developed and started selling in
2014 high end industrial fiber lasers. Currently ARIEL performs an order of ~ $1M to manufacture
first lot of 60 fiber lasers for Japan. The lasers are used in industrial laser printers. This year ARIEL
won a classified tender of IMOD to manufacture and supply $5M of ARIEL products within few
years.
In 2011, 10% of ARIEL were bought by ELBIT Systems Land and C4I for $ 2.7M.
Sales volume jn 2016 is expected to be ~ $1.5M. The company employs 8 people.

ARIEL plans to manufacture within one year a Laser Kill Anti UAV protection system for
actual installation and practical use, and to complete development and manufacturing of a 200 watts
industrial laser for 3D laser metal printers for direct metal laser sintering, the most advanced metal
processing technology.
