WATER SAVING
VitrA water saving WCs, marked with this symbol,
have a special bowl structure and are specifically
designed to flush with both lower (2.5/4 litres)
and typical (3/6 litres) water volumes.
By using less water, whilst still delivering efficient
flushing, these water saving WCs benefit you and
the environment. All VitrA wall-hung frames come
with dual flush function as standard in both
2.5/4 litre and 3/6 litre options.
SPACE SAVING
A wall-hung WC solution takes up less room
than a typical WC, and the concealed installation
offers flexibility in confined spaces. The range
of compact WCs have a shorter projection,
saving even more space.

been developing product lines and design strategies
for leading brands since 1987. Winners of prestigious

A CREATIVE, COLLABORATIVE APPROACH
INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION
Our strong relationships with designers around
the world have enabled us to push the creative
boundaries of bathroom design. A key example of
this is our collaborative work with German design
studio NOA, which resulted in the highly popular
T4, Shift and M-Line collections.
This global pool of exceptional design talent has resulted
in VitrA being awarded many accolades, including the
Wallpaper Design Award for Best Bathroom, an Elle
Décor Award, Good Design Award, Red Dot Design
Award and no fewer than two iF product design awards
for excellence in product and design quality in 2014.
CHRISTOPHE PILLET
Based in France, Christophe Pillet’s name is
synonymous with stylish, functional and natural
design – the lightness of touch in his work is elegance
epitomised. His perfect command of sensuality and
refinement has made him one of the most renowned
French designers to have gained global recognition.
ROSS LOVEGROVE
One of the most fascinating designers of the
21st century and recipient of countless awards,
Ross Lovegrove creates sculptural and organic
shapes using sophisticated technology and materials.
His design concept ‘organic essentialism’ is inspired
by elements from the natural world which are then
reshaped into futuristic forms.

A HISTORY OF INGENUITY
VitrA’s rich heritage can be traced
back to 1909, when renowned Turkish
pharmacist Süleyman Ferit Eczacibaşi
began producing bathing and cologne
products at his pharmacy in Izmir.
Three decades later, his son, Dr Nejat
Eczacibaşi, took the family business a step
further by establishing a pharmaceutical
laboratory in Istanbul. The business continued
to grow steadily, and by 1952 he had opened
Turkey’s first modern pharmaceutical factory.
Within a few years, Eczacibaşi’s vision had
grown further still, and with the establishment
of Turkey’s first ceramic sanitaryware factory
in 1958, VitrA was born.

VitrA’s Innovation Centre – where all
the magic happens, from the conception,
development and realisation of original
ideas and designs, to the innovation,
planning and production of new technology
and materials.
Here, architects and designers are encouraged
to free their imagination and original ideas are
showcased in a setting that blends design
with culture, art and lifestyle.
It’s this commitment to innovation and creativity,
to constantly improve comfort, sustainability and
bathroom aesthetics, that is helping us transform

VITRA INFINIT
Bathroom products made from mineralcast
are distinguishable by the thinner profile
edges and clean lines.
Made from a combination of natural stone
powder and a polyester resin mineralcast produces
a beautiful finish which is warm to the touch and
easy to clean, it can also be used to create basins
in wide range of shapes and sizes. Mineralcast
is a hard-wearing material with the added benefit
of being invisibly repairable in the unlikely event
of the basin becoming damaged.

VitrA’s rimless WC pan technology dispenses
with one of the most unhygienic aspects of
traditional WC design, where hard-to-clean rims
can harbour germs and allow them to multiply
unchecked. The unique design of our Rim-Ex
pans incorporates a water diverter to direct the
flush around the bowl, which can be removed
easily for cleaning.

VitrA Fresh WC pans feature an integral
tank that dispenses detergent with every
flush, helping to clean the pan thoroughly
and protect against the build-up of bacteria.
VitrA Fresh prevents the need to add cleaning
agents to the cistern, which can corrode the
flushing mechanism. VitrA Fresh is currently
only available in WCs in the M-Line series.

V-care can be used via remote control and has
a very simple, intuitive user interface. The basic
functions of the WC can also be controlled via
the left and right side of the toilet itself.
EASY TO CLEAN WC
With no awkward rim to negotiate in the inner
bowl and concealed fixings, the V-care WC is very
easy to clean. Rim-Ex technology dispenses with
the rim inside the WC, enabling cleaning of the
inner bowl with a single wipe.
DESIGNED FOR COMFORT
The seat, designed with an ergonomic shape
for optimum comfort, comes complete with
remote-controlled seat temperature adjustment.

All M-Line washbasins have a specially-designed bowl, with
precisely the right combination of depth, shape and incline
to promote the maximum flow of dirt to the waste area,
preventing a build-up of residue on the bowl surface.
VITRA RIM-EX
The redesigned bowl of the M-Line series WC pan
features a smooth, channel-free design to discourage
germ reproduction and provide superior hygiene.
The water diverter tool can also be removed easily
for cleaning.
VITRA FRESH
Another M-Line series innovation. A concealed tank*
above the WC pan dispenses liquid cleaner with each
flush, cleaning the pan thoroughly and protecting against
bacteria build-up. This provides an alternative to placing
conventional cleaning agents in the cistern, which can
lead to corrosion of the flushing mechanism.

The dual-flush action for both
the slim and the regular wall-hung
frame operates at 2.5/4l or 3/6l,
resulting in as much as 70% reduced
water consumption, benefiting both
you and the environment.
QUICK AND EASY
INSTALLATION
An intuitive design makes
installation quick and easy – a
real advantage, particularly when
carrying out multiple installations.
QUIET
Not only is the cistern
concealed behind a wall,
but it’s also manufactured
with a specially-engineered fill
valve, and lined with insulating
styrofoam to keep filling noise
to an absolute minimum.
HYGIENIC
Keeping a bathroom clean is so
much easier with a wall-hung WC.
All pipework, usually a haven for
dust, is completely concealed, and
with the WC pan fixed above the
floor, it’s so much easier to keep
the floor clean.
EASY ACCESS
The flush plate can be removed
easily, providing easy access to
internal fittings. Flush plates have
a 5 year guarantee.
SPACE-SAVING
A wall-hung WC takes up
less room than a conventional
WC, providing greater flexibility
where space is at a premium.

5 METAL STAND
Metal stands enable easy
adjustment of height from
the floor and secure fixing.
6 FLUSHING VALVE
The flushing valve transfers
the water in the cistern
to the WC pan for flushing.
For correct and reliable
functioning, flushing
units are subjected to
200,000 water-tightness
and accelerated life tests
at the factory.
1 FLUSH PLATE
The flush plate operates the
cistern. It enables easy operation
of the wall-hung frame and covers
internal parts that remain in the wall.
4 OVERFLOW PIPE
The overflow pipe in the flushing
mechanism takes the safety duty
in wall-hung frames. When too
much water enters the cistern, the
overflow pipe channels the excess
water into the WC pan, preventing
the risk of flooding.
8 PANEL GAP
The panel gap on the body is
designed to provide optimum
opening space for maintenance
of filling or flushing units, enabling
easy access to the cistern. The
size of this gap is very important
for servicing purposes.
3 FILLING VALVE
The filling valve is the system
that fills the cistern with water.
The filling valve is checked in
VitrA labs for “water-tightness”
via accelerated life testing 200,000
times. The filters above the filling
valve eliminate the risk of clogging,
ensuring durability and a long
lifetime. New VitrA filling systems
ensure fast and silent filling.
9 INTERMEDIARY HOSE
The intermediary hose that connects
to the water piping inside the cistern
can isolate the water flow during
service-oriented interventions, which
enables easy replacement of parts.
7 BODY STYROFOAM
The Styrofoam
that coats the entire
lower body prevents
condensation in the
cistern and ensures
sound insulation.
2 BODY
The filling and flushing valves are
located in this part of the cistern.
Produced from polyethylene (HDPE)
raw materials, it offers more safety
with its flexibility and resilience.
