School Adjustment Counselor
• Assess and evaluate adolescents referred to the counseling program. Develop
treatment plans for those who are recommended for counseling.
• Provide individual and group counseling to over 60 adolescents per academic
year. Focusing on educational, developmental, and emotional issues, (including
but not limited to self-esteem, peer and family relationships, adjustment disorders,
bereavement, aggression, impulse control, motivation, anxiety disorders,
depression, sucidality, eating disorders, gender issues, substance abuse, and teen
pregnancy).
• Provide support services and resources to parents of the students involved in the
counseling program.
• Facilitate evening parent support groups, open to all parents of students enrolled
