1. Portfolio
Solutions for high complexity problems in several areas, such as:
• Corporative Systems
• Geophysics and Geology
• Petroleum reservoir engineering
• Computational Fluid dynamics – CFD
• Medicine and Healthcare
• Consulting in software development
2. PLIM
PLIM is a software program capable of calculating the limit of the
water injection pressure in a reservoir utilizing as the injection
pressure limit the criteria of faults reactivation of such reservoir.
Using geometric parameters from the reservoir and from the
reservoir faults, the software searches in a data base with results
from mechanical analysis executed before, in finite elements, the
areas in which the injection pressure exceeds the limit pressure.
The modeling and the development of the calculus methodology
for these critical pressures is the product of research and
development made by Petrobras.
Deepsoft developed for Petrobras, in the form of a plug-in, a pre
and post PLIM (Petrobras) software processor into the
Schlumberger Petrel software. In this plug-in, the result of the
Eclipse oil reservoir simulations are imported and the data is
analyzed by the Petrobras software (PLIM). The plug-in also has a
robust result inspection interactive tool that allows the user to
easily navigate between the PLIM software results, all this through
some simple clicks in the 3D reservoir models.
3. SeisFlow
The S2S software solves one of the greatest challenges in today’s
geophysics inside of the Seismic 4D world. The software S2S –
Simulator-to-Seismic – consists in a library capable of, from a
petroleum reservoir simulation’s result, generating a synthetic
seismic cube that corresponds to a time step of that simulation.
This synthetic seismic data can then be used in several ways, such
as for history matching or for performing adjustments in the
reservoir simulation model itself from comparisons realized
between the generated synthetic seismic data and a real seismic
data extracted from the corresponding field.
DeepSoft Company develops the Petrel plug-in SeisFlow that is
acts as a “bridge” between the S2S libraries and the Petrel
software. The plugin SeisFlow for Petrel allows, from the execution
of existing algorithms present in the S2S libraries kernel, to the S2S
native user interfaces usage directly from inside of Petrel software.
4. Twister
Twister-Ocean is a plugin for the Schlumberger Petrel software,
responsible for integrating the Twister software into Petrel. The
Twister software is a computational library that models several
objects from the petroleum reservoir engineering and geophysics
areas. These objects are exposed through a consistent public API
(Application Programming Interface), allowing the usage of these
data from other applications.
DeepSoft Company’s role in Twister project consists mainly in the
development of the Twister-Ocean software. The Twister-Ocean
software is a plugin developed over the Ocean framework capable
of loading Twister library into Petrel software, allowing Petrel users
to use Twister algorithms from inside of Petrel itself, together with
the software’s data. Twister-Ocean plug-in also makes possible the
usage of Twister library from other Petrel plugins, acting as a “base
plugin”. The plugin for Petrel Twister-Ocean also makes available
Twister native user interface components (windows, plots, etc.), all
directly from inside of Petrel software.
5. Turmy
Turmy is a software program that numerically models the
evolution, over time, of meandering channel in subaqueous
environment. In order to do this, Turmy solves, analytically, a
simplified Navier-Stokes equation, in order to calculate the chains
velocity that allows the definition of portions eroded and
deposited in each time step. The final result is a model of the
sediment’s distribution carried by the meandering channel. The
software was developed by the MINES ParisTech with the
sponsorship and technical participation of some oil companies
(including Petrobras), all owning exclusive rights over the code and
commercial use of it.
The DeepSoft participation in Turmy project involves, initially, the
creation of wrappers for .NET framework over the kernel
numerical code, allowing its utilization from any application
developed on .NET framework. Naturally, this ensures the use of
this numerical kernel by your Ocean plug-in, also under
development.
6. DEnDE
The DEnDE software consists in the computing of a set of
seismic attributes which are based on a spectral
decomposition that is calculated by the continuous
wavelet transformation method. In order to achieve the
best possible results, DEnDE software makes strong use of
interactive and graphical tools such as seismic probes,
graphs, etc., which helps the user with the algorithm’s
parameterization as well as with the analysis of the
problem. DEnDE software has previously been developed
by Petrobras as a standalone application, further on
becoming a Petrel plug-in developed by DeepSoft.
In the version developed by DeepSoft, the DEnDE seismic
attributes and algorithms started to work in fully
integration with the Petrel software program, which
ended up bringing huge gains of productivity to its users.
7. ERPD
ERPD is the name given by DeepSoft and LNCC -
Laboratório Nacional de Computação Científica to a
project that is included in the thematic research
network Simulação e Gerenciamento de Reservatórios -
SIGER. The ERPD consists in the development of a
simulation software of fluid flow in oil reservoirs with
deformation of the porous media, including
parameterization and development of numerical,
mathematical and computational models for the
simulation of the phenomena of fluid flow in deformable
porous media with application the oil reservoir
engineering.
The contribuitions of DeepSoft in the ERPD project were
mostly improvements in the parameter files of simulators,
including the concept of keywords, including structural
flexibilities and file formats, among others.
