Zone-L is formed under MPD 2021 to meet following objectives
To provide affordable housing to future population coming to Delhi-NCR.
To improve connectivity between urban and rural areas.
To upgrade infrastructure and provide basic amenities to people living here.
Preservation of natural resources and ecosystem conservation.

3. Specifications of L Zone
Total area covered by L Zone is 22,979 hectares
The zone comprises 46 villages.
Najafgarh will be the biggest part of the zone.
Other villages that falls in the zone are Dhansa, Jharoda Kalan, Tikrikalan,
Jasfarpur and few others

Zone-L will be developed as smart city in future:
As per DDA’s MPD 2021, L Zone will have all the facilities and amenities that
make a well planned city.
Under the smart city mission, the zone is proposed to become the very first
smart city of Delhi NCR region.
DDA with the help private companies will provide world-class infrastructure
and environment friendly transportation facilities.
Hospitals, Schools and Universities of international standards will be built by
the Government in the area.

6. Surrounding Areas of L Zone
Zone-L is surrounded by following:
Zone K falls in the east side of L Zone.
In the north, NH-10 (Rohtak Road) and Railway Line.
Western and southern sides touch NCT boundary.
