1. HEADPHONES
A hearing aid is an electronic device that amplifies and changes sound
signals to allow better communication. Hearing aids receive sound
through a microphone that converts sound waves into electrical signals.
The amplifier modulates the characteristics of the signals and sends the
sound to the ear through a headset.
TYPES:
There are two basic criteria for categorizing independent hearing aids:
- Format Headset
- Circuit Technology
FORMAT:
At present we have three basic formats, which in turn are divided into
numerous sizes with different peculiarities. The ideal format for each user
must be agreed with the audiologist to assess aspects such as user
manual dexterity, type of hearing loss, psychological profile and lifestyle
among others.
FORMATS
Intraatrial "tailored"
They stay completely between the outer ear and ear canal. They are
used in cases of hearing loss from mild to severe. The casing
encapsulating the hearing aid components are manufactured to fit the
user's ear.
-Ear hearing aids are available in different sizes, depending on the part
of the ear they occupy. Each offers different advantages depending on
its design and size amplification levels.
CIC (Completely in the Channel) - Completely in the cannel
MC (Mini Channel) - Mini channel
2. ITC (In the Channel) - In the cannel
ITE (In the Ear) - In the ear
