This document discusses a new technique for fast in vivo 23Na imaging and T2 mapping using accelerated 2D Fourier transform magnetic resonance spectroscopic imaging at 3 Tesla. It compares a single-shot, inversion-recovery based non-echo technique to traditional 3D magnetic resonance imaging and finds the new technique can separate slow and fast 23Na components much more quickly.
