Massive collaborative games in the pursuit of eros
1. Massive Cooperative Games in the Pursuit of EROs: Revolutionizing the Military for Inter-Planetary
Settlements
Our world is experiencing the dissolution of the New World Order. This global order is unraveling as we
near the end of the oil-based economy and the political-economic patronage networks that were
created to sustain unchecked extraction, profit maximization, and environmental degradation. This
global order is unraveling as we near the end of consumer based neoliberal economic development
paradigm that extracts ecological, economic, and human capital in order to centralize corporate
dominance over our governments, military, scientific agencies, cooperatively owned economic
enterprises, civic organizations, and individuals. The New World Order that stifles innovation,
disempowers citizens, and creates enemies to sustain its prominence is unraveling.
This epoch unraveling and reconfiguration of global power relations makes policies like Air Strikes even
more dangerous to our national and global security. In a world of increasing power vacuums, the lack of
effective leadership to quell increasing competing and contradictory military interests means our global
order becomes less stable. Turkey’s military action in Syria and Libya represent the paradoxes in foreign
relations that must be navigated when there is no global consensus nor fundamental force that puts
misguided military missions of rogue presidents in check. While Turkey may certainly participate in
supporting the United Nations backed government in Libya, we condemn and do not tolerate unwise
use of impulsive force against any groups when a negotiated political solution provides a more robust
sustainable path to long lasting planetary peace. The killing of the Iranian General demonstrates the
risks of miscalculation. We do not accept the shallow spectacle of personality politics played out on the
battlefield by twitter tyrants as American diplomacy. We do not accept aggression to settle conflicts that
have endured for far too long. We do not accept military actions in the Middle East and Northern Africa
that deter us from our goal of transition to renewable energy within 10 years, the sustainable mining of
ocean resources, and our cooperation in developing our inter-planetary regenerative economy.
When we view our current conflicts as obstacles to co-creating our global regenerative economy, we
realize airstrikes carried out by any country is a fundamentally misguided strategy that relies upon
contradictory goals and false assumptions. That is, bombing as a military tactic is intended to destroy an
enemy nations infrastructure, yet when we wage wars to target individuals and communities we
magnify collateral damage and create downward spiraling economic, social, cultural, and political
impacts upon our societies and global community. Economically, airstrikes systematically push
populations into financial ruin. Providing financial compensation to victims for the systematic loss of life
and property is the bureaucratization of mass murder. Airstrikes deteriorate the cultural continuity of
communities as people are less likely to attend weddings and funerals. Moreover, the systematic paying
of informants sows deeper levels of distrust that erode the social cohesion of societies. The targeting of
congregations of people in public squares erodes the basic components of democratic societies.
2. We encourage President Bernie Sanders and representatives of the revolutionary movement of the
People of the United States to immediately end the policy of airstrikes the first day in office. We further
encourage either converting the US Jerusalem Embassy to affordable housing units for Palestinians until
a meaning peace process has been established or creating a Palestinian and Jewish commission within
the embassy to model negotiations to achieve lasting peace. Let.it.sink.in.
3. The revolutionary co-construction of our inter-planetary regenerative economy requires an offense to
provide the foundation for how we reconstruct our evolutionary advanced Global Regenerative Political-
Economic Governance System that will provide the platform for us to passionately pursue the co-
creation of a new era of peace coexistence, equity, global stability, prosperity, environmental balance,
social cohesion, innovation, and inter-planetary civilization. This offensive requires, in part, redefining
the political landscape, repurposing our military, redefining enterprise ecologies, planning Martian
regenerative settlements, and initiating massive collaborative games that promote the exchange of new
currencies that flow with regenerative forces. Bold initiatives that inspire our planet while creating
peaceful cooperation at different scales regional, global, and inter-planetary planes generating new
kinds of social, cultural, ecological, and economic value and prosperity in the process.
Lets be clear, the magnitude of the challenges for our Terrestrial and Martian worlds are so immense
that we need unprecedented levels of global and inter-planetary cooperation in order to lift us to the
next level of togetherness. We need new missions that bring our worlds together. The scope of these
pursuits will literally reshape the collective human enterprise. We create global order not coercively,
rather through regenerative forces. Luckily, we know we share common ancestry and inter-planetary
destiny. We know our togetherness creates synergies that provide exponentially increasing returns the
more we connect.
In the United States we are initiating a revolutionary movement to redefine the political landscape. In
2020, we will make significant gains to remove a cohort of republicans that represent the extreme
remnants of the neoliberal ideology that for the past four decades has made a career from maximizing
corporate interests over that of the people, denying climate change, using divisive issues to polarize our
society, and reducing the prominence of the United States in collectively resolving global issues. For
example, in 2012, Senator Ron Johnson and 33 Republican congressional colleagues signed a petition
urging the US Government to not sign the United Nations Law of the Oceans Treaty. This action went
against the recommendation of the US Military and was based on supporting the strategic interests of
oil corporations over that of our nation and our planet. As the impacts of climate change increase our
movement will further displace these representatives and build regenerative coalitions.
The military leadership must also be reconfigured in our revolutionary decade. While in the case of the
Ocean Treaty, the Pentagon was correct to urge our representative government to support United
Nations interests for the security, stability, and peace mechanisms it provides, our Defense Department
for decades has carried out it’s own neoliberal oil interest based strategies that are globally divisive,
provide no viable strategy towards ensuring stability and peace, and demonstrate a complete disregard
for human life and dignity. Endless wars as a strategy to promote weapons contractors’ profits are over.
These flagrant oversights from the oil cartels and weapons CEOs that have run our government and
military-industrial complex for decades will be dismantled and repurposed in our revolutionary decade
as we evolve a new cooperative mindset that will achieve global stability and unprecedented prosperity.
4. We therefore call for a systematic inventory and public deliberation regarding weapons that are
designed to support airstrikes and military spending priorities in order to glean funds for regenerative
settlement planning on Mars, relative missions to get us there, and grow global stability in this perilous
decade. This is going to stir up a lot of controversy from weapons manufacturer corporations and
lobbyists. We consider our improved national security and the regenerative value that will be created in
this revolutionary endeavor for the evolution of humankind as return on investment.
We design the systems as mechanisms to reach a certain goal while simultaneously solving specific
problems. When we talk about the fundamental threats our countries, civilizations, and global
community face, we immediately recognize climate change, mass extinction, skyrocketing inequality,
dwindling resources, and extremism as top priorities. Moreover, we recognize these problems are
systemic outputs of an extractive based economic model that relies upon coercion and division of
populations and ecologies in order to maximize profit. Yet, there is another characteristic of these
problems that constrain our ability to collectively organize. That is the temporal dimension of these
creates the illusion that challenges seem further on the horizon than right in front of us. When we
expand our temporal lens, we see the issues of exponential population growth and rogue asteroids
capable of causing mass extinction level events as top priorities.
We can see these challenges as threats or the most invigorating mountain we have ever climbed. We
can view these problems fearfully as something to bomb into oblivion or populations to eradicate or as
opportunities to create new forces to successfully navigate on the path of peace and prosperity. Our
tasks therefore include the restoration of our terrestrial ecology to reverse mass extinction, terraform
Earth and Mars, regeneratively harvest resources in our oceans, create new methods for regenerative
space mining, and regeneratively settle billions on Mars by 2050. The vastness of space and the time to
5. climb these peaks thus require developing new forms of endurance and cohesion to ensure exponential
level increasing returns of our investments in our regenerative economic and scientific enterprises.
This vast integration of ecological, social, cultural, scientific, and economic pursuits must be united with
global governance mechanisms within a grand vision. We promote a new regenerative political-
economic system, based upon Massive Collaborative Games, to facilitate this hybrid integration of
business, scientific, government, social, and cultural institutions and endeavors combined with new
forms of distilled value in order to create the multiplicative effect of natural, social, cultural, economic,
and political value generation in collective processes. This regenerative value is channeled horizontally
across ecologies and social communities and vertically, across individuals and regenerative enterprises
to promote and sustain human capital development and economic prosperity on Earth and Mars.
The goal of resettling billions on Mars can be a unifying framework through which we determine
priorities of our inter-planetary regenerative pursuits. We are on the cusp of launching a new space
economic enterprise landscape to provide the metals and minerals resources to both planets. We
therefore require a conceptual framework to create coherency and multiply the returns of efforts at
every stage and locale of the process. One of the questions is the determination of the infrastructure we
need, where we base this infrastructure, and in what sequence.
6. Pursuing EROs
Procuring metal, mineral, and water resources from asteroids requires a complete inventory of every
celestial object in the asteroid belt to model their trajectories and mineral and hydrological composition
to be able to determine priorities for asteroid mining. There are currently two main classification
systems that typify asteroid trajectories, compositions, and resources which need to be integrated.
Moreover, we need a classification system that indicates the possible methods for how these asteroids
could be harvested for Earth and Mars in order to refine our prioritization methodology.
In the 2000s, the B612 Foundation designed the Sentinel. This infrared telescope can inventory and
model the trajectories of asteroids and to some degree composition. The initial plan was to build 1
sentinel to model the asteroid belt, yet this still leaves a blind spot. We challenge NASA and President
Sanders to build the critical number of Sentinel telescopes to model and provide a real-time continuous
view of the entire asteroid field within 1-5 years. The Sentinel modeling strategy must be complemented
with the goal of procuring asteroid minerals and metals to supply our regenerative settlements.
We require an additional set of telescopes, probes, and satellites to provide more fine-grained mineral
and hydrological composition analyses across a range of priority asteroid types that have the materials
to supply our Martian and Earth worlds. For example, the Martian Moons Exploration Mission is building
7. the MacrOmega which will survey Phobos to determine the quantities of water, minerals, and metals
that can provide regenerative settlement building materials, be utilized for rocket fuel, and construct in-
situ manufacturing facilities. This type of imaging can also be used for determining landing sites on
asteroids. We need space infrastructure that can greatly expand the fine-grained analyses, so we grow
our list of priority asteroids within 1-5 year timeframe to better guide regenerative enterprises planning.
We should consider the quantities of water, metals, and minerals that we require to sustain our Earth
and Martian populations, estimate the amount of types of asteroids where this can be harnessed in the
asteroid belt, determine the reconnaissance capacity of these types of remote sensing satellites, and
then quantify the amount of satellites we require to map and prioritize EROs, within a 5 year timeframe.
To Nasa we ask, how many compositional type remote sensing imagers do we require to feasibly survey
and prioritize the requisite amount of EROs to supply Earth and Mars with minerals and metals within a
1-5 year timeframe?
Harvesting EROs
Prioritizing EROs is, in part, based upon defining the techniques utilized to harvest the asteroid. When
we consider infrastructure and processes for asteroid acquisition, we need to think of the fundamental
forces that we are working with in the asteroid belt and where the minerals will be mined. There are
various methodologies that utilize gravity, light, magnetism, electric-static, fuel propellants, and nuclear
force to harvest EROs. While depending on the EROs type we can consider these ranges of methods.
Current strategies seem to rely upon gas and machine propulsion and underutilize the existing
gravitational, kinetic and light energy across the asteroid belt. The entire asteroid belt is in motion. Light
can create subtle changes in spin rates or distances from Mars or Jupiter increase kinetic energy of EROs
which can be leveraged to propel asteroids towards processing facilities that serve Earth and Mars. Light
can also be used to vaporize asteroids so specific minerals recrystallize in space for further refinement.
8. Mining, Processing, and Manufacturing EROs
Manufacturing facilities can be built on hubs within the asteroid belt or in-situ and require a range of
infrastructure. When planning the spatial distribution of asteroid belt based processing facilities, we
must consider the goal of providing access to Earth and Mars. For example, celestial bodies like Ceres
and Phobos provide access to both planets. We should consider a spatial strategy of allocating
manufacturing facilities throughout the asteroid belt, taking into account the temporal dimensions of
production capacity and delivery timeframes of critical planetary resources to supply our regenerative
settlements. This represents new forms of Economic Development Planning and thus government
commissions should be established to support regenerative enterprises in co-building these facilities.
Once in the orbit of Ceres or Phobos, a lander mechanism will be required to facilitate asteroid
deposition upon the surface. Once there, processing facilities are required to refine the ore. 3D printing
technologies, for example, could be built to utilize various regolith resources either to construct mining
and refining facilities or to export to the Earth and Mars.
Deployment of Refined Minerals and Metals to Earth and Mars
Once refined, the deposition of critical quantities of mineral and metal resources to supply the Martian
and Terrestrial populations also requires landing infrastructure. This infrastructure will vary according to
whether the refined material is placed in the orbit of Mars and Earth (e.g. in-situ processing) or lands
directly upon the planetary surfaces (e.g. arrival from a Ceres processing facility).
9. Massive Cooperative Games in the Pursuit of EROs
We envision massive cooperative games as a comprehensive governance, economic, civic, scientific, and
security endeavor that creates new forms of hyper-coordination in regional, global, and inter-planetary
processes. We utilize peer currencies as a mechanism to gamify metrics in government (e.g. carbon
sequestration goals), business (e.g. sales revenues of a particular product containing a certain amount of
minerals), and civic (e.g. city budgeting participation rates) to facilitate hyper-participation in collective
pursuits.
Global & Regional Governance for Inter-Planetary Policy, Priorities, Plans & Projects
The revolutionary goal of resettling billions on Mars can be a unifying framework through which we
determine priorities of our inter-planetary regenerative pursuits from 2020-2050.
We call upon social movements, revolutionary representatives, President Bernie Sanders, the Planetary
Defense Coordination Office, and the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space of the United
Nations to form regional, national and global commissions to determine regenerative settlement
priorities and plans. The first goal should be to determine the target resettlement quantity for Mars
Population 2050. This population determination should consider equity, social demographic, and
technical skills qualities. Moreover, the varieties and quantities of infrastructure that is required to
facilitate different mining approaches to supply the requisite metal, mineral, and water resources for
Martian Population 2050 in order to create a systematic effort for NASA and other space agencies to
create missions that provide research to support innovation for government and economic regenerative
10. enterprises endeavors, the construction and value rates for the utilization of shared global
infrastructure, and regional indicators to distill regenerative value that incentives the procurement and
economic exchange of astronomical minerals and metals. Regional government scientific capacity
should be strengthened to promote complementary distributed participatory science endeavors.
Moreover, regional to global accounting systems should be created to inventory and quantify the
exchange of these resources in local economies. Regional participatory budgeting and interactive
gaming processes should be created to refine these values and strengthen social cohesion in the
collective pursuit in the promotion and retail of astronomical resources within collectively determined
timeframes. Moreover, these regional processes must be integrated to global governance mechanisms
such as indicator metrics that correspond to the United Nation Sustainable Development Goals. The
magnificent quality of cultivating cooperation of billions of human beings should promote the
participation of educational (e.g. augmented reality design, massively open online communities, etc.)
social, and faith-based institutions to promote social and spiritual cohesion in this pursuit.
All economic missions should be multiplicative to degree possible. While we recognize there is strategy
in creating replicable and scalable approaches, the strategy for a Moon mission should be scrutinized
within the context of determining the optimal path to get us to large-scale Mars resettlement in
addition to utilizing the asteroid belt to access resources for both Earth and Mars. It shouldn’t take a
trillionaire a decade to repeat the 1968 lunar landing. It will take our revolutionary movement less than
30 years to build the regenerative settlements, transport Martian inhabitants, and supply the resources
to our inter-planetary populations. Within that timeframe we will bring terrestrial atmospheric carbon
levels to within the 350 parts per million threshold. We are capable to terraform Earth within three
decades therefore we should set an even more ambitious goal for terraforming Mars.
Regenerative Economic Enterprises
The building of this shared infrastructure supports the development of regenerative enterprises that
compose regional, global, and interplanetary value chains to produce economic value for their
members. We need a myriad of entrepreneurs to create regenerative enterprises that are committed to
the pursuit of supplying and settling Martian Population 2050. We are creating the maker economy and
11. residents of Mars, I think, should value a coproduction mindset. In our regenerative system, ecological,
social, cultural, spiritual and economic value are outputs to be pursued and co-produced. This fusion of
civic, government, and economic enterprises will become more apparent the more we pursue massive
cooperative endeavors. For the initial wave of space resource procurement, we can consider the micro,
meso, and macro level regenerative enterprises that we traditionally consider composing the
regenerative economic inter-planetary landscape.
No, we are not going to automate our economy of the future. We need human beings now more than
ever. Andrew Yang’s goal is to sell $.001 loafs of Wonder Bread on Mars. We see this as unacceptable in
our revolutionary movement. We will not let human beings be disempowered and displaced from
ownership in our economic production processes. The tools and products we make reflects what we
value as individuals and communities. In the maker movement, we strategically integrate automation
into our inter-planetary regenerative value chains to make human beings more effective in our collective
pursuits. Technology has never displaced human beings it has always created more opportunity for
human endeavors. Although the disruption potential exists with artificial intelligence, this is a choice and
policy we make collectively. We keep human beings in the equation because we value creativity,
empowerment, and cooperation as cultural values. 3D printing evolves manufacturing jobs to place
more of an emphasis on design while providing more opportunity for entrepreneurship. The
proliferation of the tasks that span across our planet, Mars, and our solar system requires creates new
regenerative enterprise entrepreneurship opportunities, jobs, scientists, artists, contractors, etc.
We recommend the construction of global space regenerative enterprise cooperatives as a mechanism
to create regenerative value for inter-planetary inhabitants.
Regenerative Finance – Green New Deal
Much of this shared infrastructure we can consider to be global utilities or cooperatively owned
infrastructure which will provide revenues to our governments and inter-planetary inhabitants.
We will create regenerative mechanisms to finance this historic human endeavor. The Green New Deal
and the optimization of our military budget will, in part, provide the economic capital to invest in space
utilities. The idea that our nation would spend billions of dollars to cause extremism versus investing in
planetary defense & our regenerative settlements future is unacceptable to us in our revolutionary
decade forward. Redirecting expenditures from the military of specific weapon systems development
and redirecting those to make the prioritized investments to build the requisite physical, technological,
and social infrastructure to put us on the path to Mars.
Regenerative Military
Our revolutionary movement must create a military mindset that moves from airstrikes to space lifts.
Building the inter-planetary regenerative political-economy will require a massive redeployment of
existing military departments and soldiers in the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Asia, in space, and on
Mars. The scale of this reconfiguration creates the opportunities for cooperation among militaries.
Specifically, we are creating a regenerative offense to combat climate change and mass extinction. This
means we are rebuilding our terrestrial ecologies and resculpting the land. In places where extremism
exists, we station global security forces, yet the bulk of the regenerative work is carried out by
12. entrepreneurs, scientists, community organizers, artists, regional bureaucrats and representatives, and
global development professionals from the United Nations, NASA, and State Departments.
The forces of nature are to be navigated… kinetic, electro-magnetic, solar winds…. I wonder the
possibility of creating a mirror-lenses lattice bee wing structure that reflects solar light… lenses light…
concentrating it, propelling us forward…distributed lenses that combine to magnify light... to melt the
ice caps of Mars… dust off landing spaces…let me propose one for a particular eros… It’s based on light,
gravity, and kinetic energy. If we conceive the asteroid belt as rings, like the ring of Jupiter, the velocity
of an asteroid varies according to its relative strata of the ring... so asteroids move at different speeds. If
we built a mirror-lensing based spaceship…parked it on the edge of the asteroid belt… we could channel
light towards EROs to change their rotational spin or strata… creating binaries and leveraging kinetic
forces to catapult asteroids towards their journey to Earth and Mars… rest at the gateway to the outer
solar system and beyond which is a cool place to be… fleets of vehicles…swarms… aggregating mirrors as
a hive to get us to light speed… we combine our forces…we ensure our species is secure… we cultivate
the social-psychological regenerative mindset…empathy… cooperation…then we embark upon Proxima
Centari B type exosolar planetary journeys.?!!..
I believe in destiny. I believe our inter-planetary fate was sealed moments after the big bang…
complementary forces were made… it only gets better…when we bring our worlds together… connect
our path forward…
