■ Confidentiality is important especially in Medical field when it come to Patient
information
■ Healthcare Organization are still entitled to maintain professional privacy in the
facility, especially when it comes to your patients,

3. Patient Information
■ Speaking of patient information, this is probably the most sensitive topic right now
because Patient are becoming real concern about the privacy of their information in
this technology savvy world.
■ Just the name of a patient is enough for identity theft.
■ Even posting your picture with patient in the background or just talking about patient
in the hallway of healthcare organization is bad

4. HIPAA LAW
■ HIPAA LAW stand for Health Insurance Probability andAccountability act
■ It was enacted onAugust 21, 1996 and it require (Department of Health and Human
Service) HHS to secure patient health information
■ And violation for this law is expensive, it ranged from $100 to $50,000 or
imprisonment

5. Online Content
■ Employee must conduct themselves professionally when online
■ No mention of patient personal name or any information online
■ Employee must not use cellphone when on the floor
■ There is a training on HIPAA law, and the punishment following violation
