Task 1-
The internet is more of a basic need than a luxury in this day and age, and nearly everyone is using it daily.
According to http://www.internetlivestats.com/internet-users/The number of internet users has increased tenfold from
1999 to 2013.
The first billion was reached in 2005. The second billion in 2010. The third billion in 2014.
The chart and table below show the number of global internet users per year since 1993:
According to publics.worldbank.org-By the end of 2014, there were some 748 million fixed broadband subscriptions and 2.7
billion mobile broadband subscriptions around the world.3
According to fast company.com, only 3% of American internet users are still using dial up connection.

SMART PHONES. THE FACTS!
Here's some facts about smart phones and how they are revolutionalizing the generation. To comply with British Academy
of Digital Marketing criteria, I have used Harvard referencing to back up my findings.
''Smartphone shipments worldwide are projected to add up to 1.71 billion in 2020''
''In 2015, only just over 25 percent of the global population used a smartphone''.

How consumers search for information
Search engines are now so fundamental to our lives that ‘’Google’’ (to ‘’Google’’
something) has become an everyday verb to mean look something up. Search
engines are not only now available at our fingertips as a default feature on the
homescreens of our smartphones that the majority of us own, but now with the
arrival of voice search applications such as Google voice, Siri and Alexa being
right in front of us at first glance of our phones, many of us do not even need to
touch the device to make a search query!

Skyword.
“This year (2017), 25 million devices will be shipped, bringing the total number of voice-first devices to 33 million in

What consumers buy online-
According to info.salmon.com
Brand loyalty is tumbling with nine in ten (88%) consumers seeing speed of delivery being more important than the brand
being ordered. And these consumers are comfortable with new and innovative ways to shop too, with 45% currently using
or likely to use digital assistants such as Amazon Echo, Alexa or Google Home in the next 12 months. Six out of ten of us
now welcome the benefits of Programmatic Commerce - allowing technology to automatically purchase goods for us.

sharing platform YouTube

The third billion in 2014. The chart and table below show the number of global internet users per year since 1993: According to publics.worldbank.org-By the end of 2014, there were some 748 million fixed broadband subscriptions and 2.7 billion mobile broadband subscriptions around the world.3 According to fast company.com, only 3% of American internet users are still using dial up connection.

Search engines are not only now available at our fingertips as a default feature on the homescreens of our smartphones that the majority of us own, but now with the arrival of voice search applications such as Google voice, Siri and Alexa being right in front of us at first glance of our phones, many of us do not even need to touch the device to make a search query!
