Last Saturday night I was in mood for some Chinese delicacies. A complete 3 course Chinese dinner is
what my tongue was asking for. My hubby said he has a surprise planned for me and that he will be
taking me to a good Chinese Restaurant named China Bowl.
We reached the restaurant and I was surprised to see that my hubby had reserved the table before
hand to avoid any hassles. I was starving so we began with ordering some Chilly Chicken in starters. Post
the starters we ordered Chicken Manchurian and some Pan Fried noodles. The aroma of Chinese food all
around was magical and mouthwatering. The best part was the prompt service. It only took them ten
minutes to prepare the main course. After the main course was served, it took us merely few minutes to
gulp the entire food. We finished off with ice cream in dessert and green tea in the end. I totally loved
the Chicken Manchurian. It was well cooked and the gravy was perfect. I was fully satiated with the
meal.
After reaching home, I go ogled the recipe for Chicken Manchurian since I was too eager to find it out
and cook myself. I finally found the recipe and I am sharing it with you. It’s pretty easy to cook. Tried and

INGREDIENTS:
1 lb chicken meat, cut into 1inch square pieces
1 1/2 tablespoons corn flour
1 beaten egg
1 1/2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
salt
ground black pepper
2 tablespoons cooking oil
2 tablespoons crushed ginger
2 tablespoons crushed garlic
2 tablespoons crushed green chili peppers
2 tablespoons chopped cilantro
1 cup chicken stock
1 tablespoon soya sauce
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon ajinomoto
2 tablespoons corn flour, dissolved in
1/4 cup water
DIRECTIONS
Start with mixing the corn flour, the all-purpose flour, salt and pepper with the beaten egg and make a
consistent batter. Soak the chicken pieces in the batter properly and deep fry them until they turn
golden brown. Keep aside and start preparing the gravy. For preparing the Manchurian sauce, you need
to heat oil in a pan. Lightly fry garlic and ginger till they have changed the color. Add green chilies and
cilantro leaves to the concoction. Fry for a minute.

Reduce the flame and add chicken stock, Soya sauce, salt, sugar, pepper and ajinomoto.
Cook on sim for 5 minutes. Add corn flour mixed with water and give one boil. Add fried chicken and
cook for 1-2 minutes. Serve hot with rice/noodles.
